Your request has been heard and I join you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and our rest.

For your anxiety about the driving theory test, hear what the Lord Himself says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. He does not call you to give an account or to add to your burden, but to take away your sins and to place you in security. Anxiety about what lies months ahead can weigh heavily, yet virtue and the fear of God give confidence more than any outward success. Prepare diligently for what is before you, study faithfully, and cast your care upon Him, for He desires your salvation and your peace far more than any honor from you. Ask Him for a calm mind, for clarity as you learn, and for trust that your worth and your future are in His hands, not in the outcome of one test.

For your daughter, I also pray with you. It is painful to watch a child give her heart to one who has treated her poorly and caused her to be hurt again and again. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that intimacy belongs within that covenant alone. Love in its truest form is not fleeting passion but a faithful, self giving bond that reflects Christ and His Church. Pray that your daughter would come to see this and to desire a relationship that honors God in purity, faithfulness and respect.

You have an important calling in this season to be a steady pattern for her of modesty, wisdom and prayer. Daughters often form their ways by what they see in their mothers. Continue to live before her a life that shows the beauty of holiness and quiet trust in God, and speak to her with truth and gentleness rather than only with reproach.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I bring this mother and daughter before You. Lord, lift the burden of anxiety and grant peace that passes understanding. Help in preparation for the theory test and teach trust in Your provision. For the daughter, grant discernment, protection and strength to turn from what would harm her. Give her eyes to see clearly, a heart to seek You first, and a desire for purity and for a relationship that accords with Your holy design for marriage if it be Your will for her to marry. Draw both mother and daughter closer to Christ, in whom alone is salvation, and clothe them with Your glory that they may shine in good works and give glory to You. Amen.

Thank you for sharing so openly what is on your heart. I have prayed for you and for your daughter, and I want to encourage you from Scripture.

The anxiety you are feeling is something God understands and cares about. The Bible speaks about the condition of our hearts and asks whether there is rest or whether there is turmoil and unrest within us. God has given a promise of rest to His people, and He invites us to enter into it. That rest does not come from trying harder in our own strength to be calm or to earn His favor. It comes from trusting that Jesus has already done all that is needed for us and resting in His finished work by faith. When anxiety rises, God invites us into a close, loving relationship with Him as our Father, not a distant or formal one. He wants you to bring your worries to Him simply and honestly, to cast all your care upon Him because He cares for you. As you do, He promises a peace that goes beyond understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

For your driving theory test, it is understandable to feel pressure when there is a lot to learn and the test is still months away. Try not to carry all of those months of worry in one day. God is gracious and patient with us when we are learning and being tested. Even great men and women of faith did not pass every test perfectly the first time, yet God remained gracious and gave them opportunity to grow and try again. Do your part faithfully by studying a little at a time and preparing well, and at the same time place the outcome in the Lord's hands. You can pray each time you study, Lord, I give this time and this future test to you, help me to learn well and to trust you with the result. That daily practice of entrusting the future to Him can replace anxious thoughts about what might happen with quiet confidence in His care for you today.

I also hear your concern as a mother for your daughter. It is painful to watch your child give her heart to someone who has not treated her with faithfulness and respect, especially when he has hurt her repeatedly and she still chooses to go out with him. God created relationships to be built on love, honor, and faithfulness, and marriage is His design as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, with purity and commitment belonging within it. A relationship that repeatedly wounds and dishonors does not reflect that design. I will not ask God to bless a pattern that harms her, but I will pray that God will protect her, open her eyes to see her true value in Christ, and give her wisdom and strength to set healthy boundaries. Pray that she will come to know more deeply how much God loves her and wants what is best for her, so that she will not settle for being treated poorly.

For you, pray for wisdom to speak the truth in love. Continue to keep the door open for honest conversation, to listen, to share your concerns calmly without harshness, and to point her gently to what God says about her worth and about relationships that honor Him. Your role to honor and guide your family is a strong and good foundation, and God can use your steady love and prayer to influence her even when she makes choices you disagree with.

Let me pray for you both.

Father, I bring this dear mother before you. You see the anxiety she feels about the test ahead and the burden she carries for her daughter. I ask that you would help her to enter into your rest today, to believe that you love her and that you are caring for every detail of her life. Quiet her anxious thoughts and fill her heart with your peace. Help her to study with a clear mind and to trust you with the future. For her daughter, I ask for your protection and mercy. Give her eyes to see this relationship clearly, give her courage to value herself as you value her, and draw her into a deeper loving relationship with Jesus. Give this mother wisdom, gentleness, and patience as she loves and counsels her daughter. Lead both of them closer to you and to your will. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been lifting you up concerning the anxiety you shared about your driving theory test and the burden of having a lot to get through before you take it in a few months. We have also been praying for your daughter and for your concern about the young man she has been seeing who has messed her around three times and whom she still went out with recently.

We pray in Jesus Name that our heavenly Father will grant you His peace that passes all understanding as promised in Philippians 4:7 and that you will be able to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as we are reminded in 1 Peter 5:7. We pray in Jesus Name that He will give you calm and clarity as you prepare for your test and that He will watch over your daughter, give her wisdom and discernment, and guide her steps according to His will.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
