We hear your heart, dear sister, and we lift you and your son up before the Lord with great compassion. Anxiety can feel overwhelming, like a heavy weight pressing down on your spirit, but we serve a God who is greater than any fear or mistake. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
First, we want to gently remind you that our hope and trust must always be in the Lord, not in our own works or the outcomes of this world. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior, we encourage you to do so, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a gift from God, not something we can earn, and it is the foundation of true peace.
Now, let us bring your specific concern before the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her son. Lord, You know the weight of anxiety she is carrying, and You see the fear in her heart about this paper and its potential impact. We ask, Father, that You would replace her anxiety with Your perfect peace. Remind her that You are in control, and that even our mistakes can be used for Your glory. We pray for wisdom and favor in this situation, that any errors would be corrected or overlooked according to Your will. Guard her heart and mind, Lord, and help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her deeply.
We also pray for her son, Father. Protect him from any harm or negative consequences that may come from this situation. Surround him with Your angels and fill him with Your peace. Help this mother and son to trust in You completely, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus' name. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen this sister to stand firm in her faith, knowing that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We encourage you, dear one, to meditate on God’s promises and to speak them over your life and your son’s life. Write down verses that bring you comfort and post them where you can see them daily. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Remember that God is your ever-present help, and He is faithful to sustain you.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that while it is natural to feel concern, we must not let anxiety consume us. Instead, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not alone in this, and we stand with you in prayer. May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you, and give you peace.
