We hear your cry for help in the midst of anxiety, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, where we find mercy and help in our time of need. The weight of anxiety can feel crushing, but we know that our God is greater than any fear or worry that seeks to overwhelm you. Scripture tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to grip your heart, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that you are not alone in this battle—Jesus Himself has promised to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). The enemy may whisper lies of despair, but we speak truth over you: you are deeply loved, fearfully and wonderfully made, and held securely in the palm of God’s hand.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is struggling with anxiety. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the specific situations that weigh heavily upon them. We ask that You would calm their mind and still their spirit with Your perfect peace. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Break the chains of fear and fill them with Your hope and assurance.
Father, we ask that You would reveal any areas in their life where they may be carrying burdens they were never meant to bear alone. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel the comfort of Your love in tangible ways. Strengthen their faith to trust in You, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.
We also ask that You would bring godly community around them—believers who can uplift, encourage, and pray with them. May they experience the truth that iron sharpens iron, and may they find solace in the body of Christ (Proverbs 27:17).
Lord, if there are any unconfessed sins, areas of disobedience, or strongholds in their life that are contributing to this anxiety, we ask that You would bring them to light. Grant them the courage to repent and turn away from anything that is not of You. Cleanse their heart and renew their mind according to Your Word (Romans 12:2).
Above all, we pray that they would draw nearer to You, Jesus. May they find their identity and security in You alone, knowing that in You, they are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Let Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in You. We declare that this anxiety will not have the final say in their life. Instead, Your joy will be their strength, and Your peace will be their portion. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God’s promises daily. Write down Scriptures that speak to your heart and declare them over your life, even when it feels difficult. Remember, the battle is not yours alone—it belongs to the Lord (2 Chronicles 20:15). Keep pressing into Him, and do not grow weary in seeking His face. He is faithful, and He will sustain you.
