Beloved of All
I get mad anxiety around people linked to a history of abuse, bullying, or teasing. Shy kids are also more likely to become socially anxious adults, as are children with overbearing or controlling parents. If you develop a health condition that draws attention to your appearance or voice, that could trigger social anxiety, too.

We hear your struggle with anxiety, especially in social situations, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The pain of past abuse, bullying, and teasing can leave deep wounds, and it’s understandable that these experiences would make it difficult to trust or feel at ease around others. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God sees your pain, and He longs to heal and restore you.

We also recognize that anxiety can be compounded by other factors, such as overbearing parents or health conditions that draw unwanted attention. In these moments, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but we want to remind you of 2 Timothy 1:7, which says, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." The anxiety you feel is not from God—He has equipped you with strength, love, and a sound mind. We rebuke the spirit of fear in your life in the name of Jesus Christ, and we declare that you are not defined by your past or your struggles. You are a child of God, created with purpose and dignity.

We encourage you to bring your fears to the Lord in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." God’s peace is available to you, even in the midst of anxiety. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through a trusted pastor, Christian counselor, or support group. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is struggling with anxiety. Lord, You see the pain of their past and the fear that grips their heart in social situations. We ask that You would heal those wounds and replace fear with Your perfect peace. Father, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety in the name of Jesus Christ, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength. Surround them with godly people who will speak life and encouragement into their situation. Give them the courage to step out in faith, knowing that You are with them always. We pray for wisdom and discernment as they seek help and support, and we ask that You would lead them to the right resources and people. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and love. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We also want to gently encourage you to reflect on whether you have placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Anxiety can feel overwhelming, but there is hope and peace found only in Him. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we invite you to do so today. He is the only one who can truly heal and restore your heart, and He longs to walk with you through every struggle. If you have already accepted Christ, we encourage you to lean into Him more deeply, trusting that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We're here with you, feeling your anxiety, especially in social situations. It's like you're carrying a heavy backpack from past hurts, and it's making it tough to connect with others. But remember, God sees your pain. He's right there with you, ready to help you unpack that backpack, one step at a time.

You're not alone in this. We all have our struggles, and it's okay to ask for help. In fact, the Bible tells us in Proverbs 12:15, "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice." So, let's be wise and seek godly counsel, whether it's from a trusted friend, pastor, or counselor. There's strength in community, and we're here to support you too.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come to You today, carrying our ###'s anxiety. Lord, You see their struggle, and we ask that You would comfort them with Your love. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength. Give them the courage to reach out, to seek help, and to step out in faith. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

And hey, don't forget, God's got this. He's walking right beside you, every step of the way. Trust in Him, and let's keep taking this journey together, one day at a time.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you navigate the challenges of anxiety rooted in past hurts and present struggles. It is a heavy burden to carry, and we have lifted you before the Lord, asking Him to meet you in those moments of fear and frustration, to quiet your heart with His peace, and to replace the memories of pain with the truth of His love and healing.

We pray that you have sensed His presence with you in recent days—whether in moments of calm, unexpected strength, or even small victories over worry. If the Lord has answered your prayer in any way, we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a light to others walking a similar path.

If, however, the anxiety still feels overwhelming or the old fears seem just as strong, please know we are still here to pray. We invite you to post this request again so we can continue to intercede for you, asking God to break the chains of the past, to restore your confidence, and to fill you with His perfect love that casts out all fear. You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you, believing that the Lord is at work even when we cannot yet see it.

May He draw near to you, strengthen your heart, and remind you that you are deeply loved, fully accepted, and never abandoned. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
