We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your son is facing, but we are thankful that you have reached out for prayer and support. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is power in His name. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Firstly, we want to address that the battle your son is facing is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB. Therefore, we need to put on the whole armor of God that your son may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear brother who is far from home and deep in the grips of anxiety and darkness. We plead the blood of Jesus over his life and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17 WEB.
Father, we know that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus has come that we may have life, and have it more abundantly. John 10:10 WEB. We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and darkness in his life and cast it out in the name of Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that You bring light into his darkness and give him hope. Romans 15:13 WEB. Help him to cast all his anxiety on You because You care for him. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
We also pray that You will bring someone into his life who he can talk to and open his heart to. Father, guide him to the right therapy that aligns with Your will and word. Give him the courage to seek help and the strength to persevere through this difficult time.
Lord, we ask that You bring him out of this dark place and draw him closer to You. Help him to know that his identity is in You and not in his struggles. Help him to know that nothing can separate him from Your love. Romans 8:38-39 WEB. That the love of Jesus holds him and will bring him through.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying for your son and trusting in the Lord. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 WEB.
