Anxiety and Hyperhidrosis

We have read your request for prayer for severe anxiety and hyperhidrosis and we lift you up together before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.

We know how heavy and exhausting severe anxiety can be, and how a physical condition like hyperhidrosis can add to that burden with discomfort, self-consciousness, and worry about daily life. We want you to know that God sees both your inner struggle and your physical suffering, and He cares deeply for you in both. He does not want you to carry this alone.

The Scripture tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We are also told to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 Your anxiety is not hidden from Him, and His peace is offered to guard your heart and mind.

We also remember the promise Dont you be afraid, for I am with you. Dont be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 And For God didnt give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 The fear and dread that comes with severe anxiety is not from God, and He desires to replace it with His power and love and a sound mind. We also cling to I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4

Concerning your body, we know God is the healer and He is compassionate toward our physical afflictions. We pray for His healing touch and wisdom for any treatment, as He is the one who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:3 We also take comfort that Jesus invites us Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 That rest is for your mind and your body.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 It is in His name that we pray and find peace and healing.

We also encourage you, while trusting the Lord for peace and healing, to seek wise counsel and medical care for both the anxiety and the hyperhidrosis. God often works through doctors and counselors, and seeking help is not a lack of faith but a step of stewardship of the body He has given you. Bringing your struggles into the light with a trusted pastor, counselor, or medical professional, and meditating daily on Scripture, prayer, and thanksgiving, can be practical ways God uses to bring relief.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one who is suffering with severe anxiety and hyperhidrosis. Lord, You know the weight of the fear, the racing thoughts, the physical discomfort and embarrassment, and the exhaustion that comes from carrying this daily. We ask in Jesus name that You would pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind. Calm the anxious thoughts, quiet the fear, and replace it with Your power, love, and self-control. Lay Your healing hand upon this body and bring relief from excessive sweating, regulate what is out of balance, and give wisdom to doctors and counselors who may help. Help this one to cast every worry on You and to feel Your presence upholding them with Your righteous right hand. Draw them close to Jesus, that they may know Him as Savior and find rest for their soul. Let them seek You daily and experience Your deliverance from all fears. We ask this according to Your will and for Your glory, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Thank you for letting us know what you are carrying. Severe anxiety is heavy to live with day after day, and when hyperhidrosis is part of it the physical discomfort and worry about sweating can make everyday moments feel even more draining. We hear how much you have been carrying and we are holding you in prayer.

We are glad you reached out. You do not have to face this on your own. Since both of the things you mentioned can take such a toll on your body, your sleep and your daily life, we gently encourage you to share what you are experiencing with a doctor or a trusted counselor if you have not already. They can listen well and help you explore supportive options going forward, alongside prayer.

It can also help to let one safe person nearby know how you are doing, so you have someone to turn to on difficult days.

Father, we lift our friend to You today. You see the anxiety and the struggle with sweating and how tiring it has been. We ask for Your peace to steady their heart, for wisdom for any helpers they see, and for daily strength and comfort as they walk through this. Guide them and remind them they are not alone. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your request concerning severe anxiety and hyperhidrosis, and we join with you in carrying it to the throne of grace.

Anxiety is a heavy burden, for it is the mind which is the main thing, and it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. We have found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. But the Lord has given a precious promise for such a case, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace is not distant or future only, it is a present possession to be enjoyed even in the ordinary circumstances of life, even with sorrows surging round. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that peace gleams with a heavenly light even in the midnight of this world of care.

And for the affliction of the body we look to the same Saviour, for He is the heavenly Physician. The Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. It is written, with His stripes we are healed, and the chastisement of our peace was upon Him. He healed the palsied and the fevered, and He still breathes into the soul a peace with God which passes all understanding, which springs from the perfect remission of our sins. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed by the Lord's own hand.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord our God, we bring this suffering one before You, who is pressed with severe anxiety and with bodily distress. You know the restless thoughts, the fearful watchings, and the weariness that hyperhidrosis brings. Look in mercy upon Your child. Speak that still small voice which alone confers the peace which passes all understanding. Stay this mind upon Yourself, and keep it in perfect peace. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus, and let pardon bring peace to the soul. Lay Your healing hand upon the body, for You are the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings. If it be Your will, ease this infirmity and grant relief, and in all things make Your grace sufficient, that whether the trial remains or is removed, this heart may rest in doing Your will, for to do the will of Jesus is rest. Help this dear one to cast all care upon You, for You care for Your own, and to find that inward peace which steals over the soul when it lies at the feet of Jesus and trusts Him wholly. Keep this one and all loved ones in Jesus keeping, safe in Your hand, till earthly struggles cease and You call to Heaven's perfect peace. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows, we ask it. Amen.

Be encouraged to stay your mind upon Christ by hearing His Word, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Tell Jesus all your anxieties in prayer, and do not tell yourself about them alone, for no good comes of anxiety confined to yourself. He invites those who come to Him, and Him that comes to Him He will in no wise cast out. Trust Him now, and may you experience that inward transformation where peace flows into the soul, and strength is given to bear what must be borne and to serve Him in it.
