We join with you in lifting up your marital life and your marriage before the throne of grace, and we stand with you against every attack of the enemy on the holy covenant of marriage and on the sexual intimacy that God ordained within it. We hear your heart crying out for restoration, for purity, and for a heavy and abundant rain of blessing upon your own marriage and upon marriages throughout the entire body of Christ in the years to come, and we agree with you that God desires to heal, protect, and cause marriages to flourish.
The word of God tells us that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. We know that the enemy comes only to steal, to kill, and to destroy, but Jesus said I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly John 10:10. Marriage is God's institution from the beginning, a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and within that covenant sexual intimacy is holy and blessed. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled Hebrews 13:4, and God said Be fruitful, and multiply Genesis 1:28. Children are a heritage of Yahweh Psalm 127:3, and the unity, privacy, affection, and faithful intimacy between husband and wife are to be guarded with great care.
We must also speak the truth in love about the things you have named. Witchcraft, defilement, prostitution, fornication, and every form of sexual immorality are works of the flesh and are forbidden by God. You shall not allow a sorceress to live is part of God's clear rejection of witchcraft Deuteronomy 18:10, and the works of the flesh are obvious, which are adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery Galatians 5:19. Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. This includes masturbatory practices with sex toys outside of the marital union, and it includes homosexuality and transsexuality which are contrary to God's created order for male and female and for marriage. God calls us to purity and to honor Him with our bodies, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:19. We rebuke every marine spirit and every impure spirit of sexual immorality that would seek to defile marriages, and we declare that they have no authority over those who belong to Christ, for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4.
We notice that your request gives thanks to the Lord Almighty but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is by the blood of Jesus and the authority of His name that we can resist the devil and see him flee James 4:7, and it is in that name we now pray.
We pray together in Jesus' name, Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we submit ourselves fully to You. We resist the devil and every agent of darkness, spiritual and physical, that has fought against this marriage and against marriages in Your church, and we command every work of witchcraft, defilement, and sexual perversion to be broken and rendered powerless by the blood of the Lamb. Lord, wash and cleanse this marriage with the blood of Jesus, restore purity, restore sexual potency and strength within the holy bounds of marriage, restore fruitfulness of the womb according to Your will, and restore husband and wife to eternal complicity, attachment, intimacy, privacy, and supernatural accordance. Father, let Your harmony, settlement, flourishing, and consistent happiness rest upon this home. We ask You to release a heavy abundant rain of blessing upon marriages in all the body of Christ worldwide, in every church, in 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030 and beyond, that marriages would be strong, faithful, fruitful, and a testimony of Christ and His church Ephesians 5:31. Teach husbands and wives to love and cherish one another, to dwell with understanding, and to keep their covenant pure until the end. Let no weapon that is formed against these marriages prosper Isaiah 54:17. We thank You that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think Ephesians 3:20, and we trust You to restore what the locusts have eaten Joel 2:25. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand firm in faith, to put on the whole armor of God Ephesians 6:11, to pray together as husband and wife daily, to remain in the Word, and to keep your marriage bed pure and devoted to one another alone. Walk in holiness, forgive quickly, guard your eyes and your heart, and invite the Holy Spirit to reign in your home. The Lord is faithful and He will strengthen and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. Keep trusting Him for the blossoming of your family and for the testimony of godly marriages across the church for generations to come.
