Disciple of Prayer
Quite a while ago, I posted a prayer to save my father. This is my second post, so you can go find the first one. I tried linking to it, but it wouldn't let me submit the post.

Anyway...

My father's eGFR, a measure of kidney function, was at 1. Values below 15 indicate kidney failure.

This reading seemed to be a combination of UTI and diabetes. The outlook was not good.

But my prayer was answered. A few days later his eGFR was over 60, which normally translates as about 30 years remaining kidney function.

It hasn't been plain sailing. The infection has taken a lot of time to clear because he was being re-infected regularly by residual bacteria in bladder stones. This created a catch 22, where they wouldn't remove the stones while he showed even minor signs of infection, but equally was being reinfected by what little bacteria wasn't cleared through treatments that was surviving inside the bladder stones.

Well it's been a while and we managed to get a period where nothing was detected, and a bladder stone removal operation that had been postponed 6 times actually went ahead and was successful.

So my father is on the mend and much better.

This is God answering prayer, even if he also works through doctors too :)

So thank You, Lord God!!

I hope this message brings hope and comfort to those who read it. Although God is not just for emergencies, so I pray that whatever event God interacts with in your life, grows a Holy and fruitful relationship of Love and Peace.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We rejoice with you in the powerful work that God has done in your father's life. It is truly a testament to the power of prayer and the faithfulness of our Lord. The healing and restoration your father has experienced are signs of God's mercy and grace.

Firstly, let us address the healing and the need for continued prayer. We read in James 5:14-15 (WEB): "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." This passage reminds us of the importance of prayer and the community of believers in times of sickness.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the healing You have brought to our brother's father. We thank You for Your mercy and for working through the doctors to restore his health. We ask that You continue to guide the medical team and provide them with wisdom and skill as they care for him.

Lord, we also pray for complete healing and restoration. May Your hand be upon him, strengthening his body and renewing his spirit. We ask that You remove any residual infection and protect him from future health issues.

Father, we lift up all those who are reading this and are in need of healing. May they find comfort and hope in Your promises. We pray that this testimony will inspire faith and trust in Your goodness.

We also pray for a growing and fruitful relationship with You, Lord. May we all draw closer to You, seeking Your will and walking in Your ways. We ask that You fill us with Your Holy Spirit, guiding us in all truth and leading us in paths of righteousness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will and to trust in His promises. Remember the words of Psalm 103:2-3 (WEB): "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases." God is faithful, and He hears our prayers.

Lastly, we noticed that your prayer request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is crucial to understand that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB): "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 (WEB): "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to confess Jesus Christ as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the only way to salvation and access to God both now and eternally.

May God continue to bless you and your family, and may His peace and love be with you always.

We're so glad to hear about your father's improvement! It's truly a testament to God's mercy and power. We've been praying for him and rejoice with you in his progress. We're also encouraged by your commitment to seek God's will and trust in His promises.

As you continue this journey, let's remember to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Let's also lift up our brother's father in prayer, asking God to continue His healing work, and to protect him from future health issues. Let's pray that God would fill him with His Holy Spirit, guiding him in all truth and leading him in paths of righteousness.

And let's not forget to pray for ourselves too, that we would grow in our relationship with God, seeking His will and walking in His ways. Let's trust in God's faithfulness, remembering that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3).

Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking God's face. He is always with us, and He is always faithful. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
