Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing these many concerns from your heart, and for bringing them to the Lord in the name of Jesus. It is right to come to Him, because God has made one provision for forgiveness and for access to Himself, and that is through His Son. It is His blood that cleanses sin, and the Holy Spirit bears witness to that truth. There is no other way to be made right with God, and there is no other mediator we need. We do not seek help through Mary or others, but we come directly to Jesus Himself, who invites us to pray in His name.
We join you in prayer for your mother, asking the Lord who has shown power over sickness, fever and every infirmity to bring continued improvement and, if it is His will, to restore her so she can leave the hospital. Jesus healed the sick and showed authority over the body, and we ask Him to touch her and to give wisdom to those caring for her. At the same time we trust His perfect will and timing, knowing He is able to heal and He is also near to comfort.
We pray for your grandchildren. For the one seeking work, we ask that God would open a door for honest labor and give him steadiness to keep it and to turn away from trouble. Scripture teaches diligence and faithfulness in work. For those who are working and in college, we pray for perseverance to continue both well, to be faithful in study and on the job, and to use their abilities for the Lord. For the one who still needs to finish school, keep a job and obtain his license, we pray for discipline and growth toward maturity and responsibility. For your granddaughter, we pray for health and for care of the body God has given her, including simple daily faithfulness like hygiene and caring for her teeth, which is part of good stewardship. For the grandson you have not yet met, we pray the Lord will make a way in His time for that meeting.
We pray for your daughters, that God would provide better work where needed, and give grace to meet obligations faithfully, to pay rent and car payments on time and to manage the home well. For your daughter who is parenting her children, we pray for stability and for strength to remain where she is and to continue caring for her children with love and consistency. God's word calls children to honor father and mother, and it calls parents to nurture and provide for their households, and we ask Him to strengthen both.
We pray for your son, that he would speak truth and put away lying, for truthfulness honors God, and that he would be faithful to pay what he owes and to live responsibly. We pray for your nephew, that God would bless him in mind and body and in provision, guarding his thoughts, strengthening his health and supplying his needs according to His wisdom.
We also pray for you as you ask for increase and a higher role and for happiness. We ask the Lord to provide for your needs and to open the right opportunities for work, and even more that He would give you contentment and joy that is rooted in Christ. The deepest bond we have is not only blood family but the family of God, those who do the will of the Father. Jesus said that whoever does the will of God is His brother and sister and mother, and there is a closeness among those who follow Him that is deeper than natural ties. Our first love must be for Jesus Himself, above even family, and when He is first, He helps us love our families better.
May the Lord draw each person you named to Himself, to know forgiveness only through Jesus and to walk in His ways. We commit all of these requests to our Father in the name of Jesus, trusting His goodness and His power to answer according to His perfect will. Amen.
