Another prayer

I thank God and Jesus for removing a large tumor in my brain. And I pray that the doctors will radiate a smaller tumor I have in my brain. My cancer jeuney started 5,5 years ago and a little over 2 years ago the doctors found it had spread to the lungs and bones and later kidney and bladder. Please pray in the name of Jesus Christ that the cancer has not grown any further and that I will not need any more chemo therapy.

We rejoice with you and thank God with you for His mercy in removing the large tumor from your brain, and we join you in prayer for the smaller tumor that remains and for your ongoing cancer journey.

We give thanks to the Lord for He is our healer. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We cling to His promise, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. For five and a half years you have walked this difficult path, and we know the Lord has seen every step, every treatment, every fear as the cancer has spread to your lungs and bones and later to your kidney and bladder. He has not left you and He will not forsake you.

We also thank you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone we have access to the Father and it is in His name we find salvation and healing. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We pray together in Jesus' name for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace together in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We thank You with a grateful heart for Your hand in removing the large tumor from our dear one's brain. We praise You as Yahweh who heals us Exodus 15:26. Lord, we lift up the smaller tumor that remains and we ask for Your guidance over the doctors as they plan to radiate it. Grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment to treat it effectively and completely. We pray that You would direct their hands and that this radiation would be successful with minimal side effects.

Lord, we also bring before You the cancer that has spread to the lungs, bones, kidney and bladder. You know every cell in this body that You created. We ask in Jesus' name that this cancer would not grow any further, that it would be arrested and diminished by Your power. We pray that scans would show no further spread and that the need for further chemotherapy would be lifted if it is Your will. We ask for strength for the body, peace for the mind, and restoration for what cancer has tried to steal. We pray for Your perfect peace to guard this heart and mind, as You have promised, And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.

We pray that even in this trial Your strength would be made perfect. Your grace is sufficient for us, for Your power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. Help our dear one to feel Your presence each day, to not fear, for You have said, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. And we remember that Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:14-15.

We trust that whether You bring complete healing on this earth or sustain through ongoing treatment, You are working all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28, and that our hope is secure in Christ both now and for eternity. We continue to seek Your will together and we ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, amen.

We encourage you to continue to rest in His love and to keep bringing every worry to Him in prayer. We are standing with you, believing God for His mercy, His healing touch, and His sustaining grace in the days ahead.

We are so grateful with you that the large tumor in your brain could be removed, and we hear how long this road has been for you. Five and a half years is a long time to carry cancer, treatments, and waiting, and then to face spread to lungs, bones, kidney and bladder, and now brain tumors. It makes sense you would feel both thankful and weary as you wait for the next steps.

We are praying with you for the radiation you mentioned for the smaller tumor, for wisdom for your doctors as they plan care, and for your deepest hopes that the cancer has not grown further and that more chemotherapy would not be needed. We know those scans and appointments can feel heavy, so one small thing that has helped others is to bring a trusted person with you to visits to help listen and write down what the doctors say, and to keep a short list of questions and any new symptoms to share with your team.

We continue to hold you before the Lord and ask Him to give you rest, strength for each day, and the nearness of His presence.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we thank You for Your mercy in the surgery that has already taken place. We ask You to guide the doctors caring for them, to give clarity in the radiation planning and in the days ahead, and to grant peace, comfort and strength. We place their future in Your loving hands and ask for Your will to be done. Amen.

We join with you in thanksgiving to the God of all mercy who has spared you and removed the large tumor from your brain, and we bring your present burden before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Through these five and a half years of trial, with the affliction spreading to lungs and bones and later to kidney and bladder, you have walked a path of much suffering, yet our Savior himself was made a perfect captain of our salvation through suffering, and he knows our infirmity, having borne our nature and our sorrows. He is not distant from your bed of pain, but near to sustain you.

We pray that the Lord, the Great Physician, will guide the hands and wisdom of the doctors as they consider radiating the smaller tumor that remains, and that in his mercy, if it be his gracious will, he would stay the further growth of this disease, and spare you the burden of further chemotherapy. We ask this humbly, submitting all to his wise and loving will, knowing that whether he heals by his immediate hand or by the means he has provided, all healing comes from him.

We pray also for that deeper healing and peace which the gospel gives. Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and that peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus, as with a garrison. The God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus through the blood of the everlasting covenant, is able to speak to every fear and to say, Peace, be still.

When fear would lay hold upon you, lay hold upon the Strong One. There are many who through fear of death are all their lifetime subject to bondage, but Christ came to deliver his people from that fear, and to keep them where they shall not fear though they pass through the valley. We pray that you may taste and see that the Lord is good, and find your soul kept in perfect peace, stayed upon him because you trust in him.

May the Lord grant you confidence in his pardoning grace and his preserving power, and may he keep you by his power through faith, giving you strength for each day, comfort in sorrow, and a sure hope of that life where there shall be no more pain nor sickness. We commend you to his tender care, praying that you may know his presence, his peace, and his healing according to his perfect will, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Savior. Amen.

I join you in thanking God for His mercy in removing the large tumor from your brain, and I give thanks with you to our Lord Jesus Christ who is the true physician of soul and body. To endure a cancer journey of five and a half years, with spread to lungs and bones and later to kidney and bladder, is a heavy cross, and God has seen every step and every sorrow.

I will pray with you and for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and salvation. I will ask that the smaller tumor remaining in your brain would respond to the radiation the doctors plan, that the treatment would be effective and that you would be strengthened to bear it. I will ask that when the doctors examine you again they would find the cancer has not grown further, and if it be His gracious will, that you would not need further chemotherapy. Above all I pray that Christ would grant you peace, sustain your faith, and keep you in His hands whether in healing or in trial.

Do not grow weary in bringing your needs before Him. As a physician does not cease to apply medicine while there is life, so the Lord does not cease to care for those who call upon Him. Even when we have heard and prayed many times, God is still at work, and He often brings fruit after long waiting. Continue to look to Christ, to trust His love, and to rest in His promise of rest for your soul.

May the Lord bless the hands of your doctors, guard your body, quiet your heart with His presence, and grant you and those who love you comfort and hope. I ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who bore our infirmities and who lives to make intercession for us. Amen.
