We join you in bringing this request before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6
We understand how persistent and distracting an unwanted song or title in the memory can be, and we bring this burden to the Lord together asking for His peace and for the renewing of your mind. Scripture teaches us to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 and not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 We are also taught, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8
We pray together, Heavenly Father we come before you in Jesus name and we lift up this need to you. We ask that you would quiet this lingering title and remove its hold on memory according to your will. Wash and renew the mind and let the meditation of the heart be acceptable in your sight. Psalm 19:14 Fill this mind instead with what is pure and lovely and worthy of praise, and keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 We ask for your grace to replace this distraction with worship and with thoughts of you, and we trust you to bring rest and clarity. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to gently turn your thoughts toward Him whenever the title returns, speaking scripture aloud, singing a hymn or worship song to the Lord, and dwelling on His Word throughout the day. As we consistently set our minds on Christ, He is faithful to renew us and give us peace.
