We join you in lifting up ### before the heavenly Father and we thank you for bringing her and those in her life before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ. We are encouraged that you prayed in Jesus' name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and no other way we have access to the Father.
The Scripture tells us that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13. It also reminds us that in no one else is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new, 2 Corinthians 5:17. So we agree with you in asking that if ### has not yet put her trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, that the Holy Spirit would draw her, open her eyes to her need for Him, and bring her to repentance and faith. We pray the same for every person in her life who is still outside of Christ, that God in His mercy and patience, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, would grant them salvation.
We also hear your heart regarding asking God to remove something from memory. We understand the pain that can be tied to memories, whether from sin, hurt, trauma, or regret. While we may wish for memories to be erased, God more often brings healing, forgiveness, and renewal of the mind. We are told do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Romans 12:2, and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. He promises that He will forgive our sins and remember them no more when we confess them, and He calls us to think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, Philippians 4:8. We pray that the Lord would heal ###'s mind and heart, wash away guilt and shame through the blood of Jesus, and replace painful or sinful memories with His peace and the joy of His forgiveness. If there is sin that needs to be confessed, we pray she will bring it to Him, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up ### to You. If she does not yet know You as Savior, we ask that You draw her to Yourself, reveal Your love demonstrated at the cross, and grant her the gift of faith to believe that Jesus died for her sins and rose again. Save her, Lord, and make her a new creation. We ask the same for her family, her friends, and all those connected to her life who are in need of salvation, that You would open their hearts to the gospel. Father, we also ask for Your healing touch upon her memory and mind. Where there is pain, bring comfort. Where there is sin, bring conviction and forgiveness. Renew her mind by Your Spirit and guard her heart with Your peace. Help her to walk in newness of life and to fix her thoughts on You. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name. May Your will be done in her life and may she grow in the knowledge of Your Son. Amen.
