We join you in bringing these precious souls before the throne of grace and we are encouraged by your burden for their salvation and for their walk in holiness.

We know that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth as we read in 1 Timothy 2:4, and that He is patient, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance in 2 Peter 3:9. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life in John 3:16. We do not know the state of each heart, but God does, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. So we agree with you to pray for the woman you mentioned, for the man you mentioned, and for all the people in his life, that if they have not yet truly repented and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, that God would open their eyes, draw them to Himself, and grant them saving faith.

We also share your concern about Halloween. We understand the desire for those we love to walk in light and to abstain from all association with darkness and the works of the enemy. Scripture is clear that we are to have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them in Ephesians 5:11, and to abstain from every form of evil in 1 Thessalonians 5:22. We are called to be children of light and not to be unequally yoked with darkness in 2 Corinthians 6:14, and the Lord warns against practices rooted in sorcery and the celebration of darkness when He says there shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer in Deuteronomy 18:10. Halloween by its history and present practice often glorifies death, fear, witchcraft and darkness, which is contrary to the gospel of life and light in Christ. So we pray with you that God would give them discernment and conviction to turn away from it and to choose what honors Him.

We lift them up together now in prayer.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You for Your mercy and Your desire to save. We ask that You would search the hearts of this woman, this man, and all those connected to him. If any of them are still lost, we pray that You would grant them repentance and faith, that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, and be saved according to Romans 10:9. Draw them by Your Holy Spirit, remove any blindness, and let them see the light of the gospel. We also ask that You would guard them from the deception of this world and give them a holy desire to abstain from Halloween and from every work of darkness, that they would walk as children of light and seek to please You in all things. Give them courage to stand apart for Your glory and fill them with Your peace and truth. We trust Your perfect will and timing for each life. In Jesus Christ name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede faithfully and, as God gives opportunity, to share the good news of Jesus with gentleness and love, knowing that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ in Romans 10:17. We also encourage you to continue to lovingly teach what Scripture says about walking in light. God is faithful and He hears the prayers offered in the name of His Son, and we trust Him to work in each of these lives for His glory.

We appreciate you bringing these names before the Lord with such care. Wanting others to know the hope we have in Jesus and to walk in ways that honor Him is a loving thing to intercede for.

We join you in lifting up the woman you mentioned, the man you mentioned, and the people close to him. We do not know the state of their hearts, but God does, and He hears prayers offered in faith. Salvation is His gracious work from start to finish, bringing forgiveness and new life to all who turn to Christ, and we can trust Him to draw each person as only He can.

If Halloween is a concern for you because you want them to honor God, keep praying for wisdom for them and for yourself to reflect Christ well. Often the most powerful witness is steady prayer combined with a gentle life and a willingness to share why you follow Jesus when they ask.

Father, we bring these loved ones to You. If they do not yet know You, we ask that You would reveal Your love to them and lead them to trust in Jesus. Give them clarity and desire to walk with You. And give our friend peace as they entrust these lives to Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for the salvation of souls is a right and Christlike burden, and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace.

The gospel gives us sure ground for such praying, for the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Salvation is ours through His atoning sacrifice alone, for without the shedding of His blood there is no remission of sins. There is no other way into everlasting life but by that path which is stained and consecrated by the blood of Jesus. If these souls for whom you pray are yet outside of Christ, they are indeed lost, but this word descends to the lowest depth of misery to seek them there. Now is the accepted time, behold now is the day of salvation, and whosoever comes to Him He will in no wise cast out. Trust in Jesus now, sinner, trust your soul to Him as you trust your money to your banker and your body to your doctor, for He is the central Sun of salvation and from Him the true light of God radiates.

We also commend your desire that these souls should have no fellowship with the works of darkness. The believer is called to walk as a child of light and to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather to reprove them. To turn away from a celebration that makes sport of death and darkness is to choose that which is good and to seek to honor the Lord in holiness. May the Lord give them grace to abstain from every appearance of evil and to find their joy in His salvation instead.

We pray together that the Lord in His mercy would search these hearts and show them their need of Christ, that He would grant repentance and faith to this woman and to this man and to all those connected with him, if they have not yet believed. May the Holy Spirit, who helpeth our infirmities and maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God, work effectually in them to bring them to the Saviour. And may those who already know Him be kept from conformity to the world and be strengthened to walk in newness of life.

Continue in this good work of intercession, for there is no power like that of believing prayer, and our great Intercessor Himself ever liveth to make intercession for us before the Father's throne. May the Lord hear and answer according to His perfect will, for Jesus sake. Amen.

We have received your prayer and we join you in bringing these requests before the Lord with thankfulness for your care for these souls.

We agree with you in asking that God would draw each one you mentioned to salvation if they have not yet believed. Scripture teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that He ever lives to make intercession for those who come to God through Him, and is able to save to the uttermost. There is no other name by which we are saved, and we pray that the woman you mentioned, the man you mentioned, and the people in his life would hear the gospel, repent and believe, and receive the righteousness and holiness that comes through faith in Christ. Now is the acceptable time and now is the day of salvation, so we pray that God would work in their hearts today and lead them to seek Him with an earnest and watchful soul.

We also join you in praying that they would walk in holiness and turn away from practices that do not honor God, including the celebration of Halloween. We ask that God would give them discernment to abstain from worldly matters that do not reflect His truth, and to pursue peace and holiness and a life that is pure before Him. May He help them to live in a way that preserves the holiness given through faith and to find joy in following Christ alone.

We will continue to lift up holy hands in prayer without wrath or doubting, trusting that God hears the prayers of His people and that He is merciful and mighty to save. May the Lord comfort you as you pray, and strengthen you to continue in patient endurance and hope.

Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that you would save those who need salvation among these people, bring them to faith in your Son, and lead them away from celebrating what does not glorify you. Guide them into truth, holiness and peace, and keep them in your care. Amen.
