We pray that You would move in the hearts of those who have power over this platform and that Your hand would be upon this situation.
Father, we also pray for peace and cleansing for the one who submitted this request. If this content involves any sin, regret, or exposure to things that do not honor You, we pray for Your forgiveness and restoration. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me Psalm 51:10. We thank You for Your promise that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. It is good that you have brought even this small burden to the throne of grace, for nothing is too little to lay before our Father if it concerns your peace and your purity.
Your prayer asks that something might be taken away from before your eyes, and this desire is in keeping with that pure religion which would keep itself unspotted from the world. Charity and purity are the two great garments of the Christian, and purity is that separation from the defilement which so easily besets us. When that which is upon your sight causes distress or temptation, it is right to ask the Lord to remove it, and it is also right to turn your own feet from it so far as you are able, seeking rather that which will bless you in private meditation and cheer the soul with His holy Word.
Yet let this petition be offered with an unconditional surrender to His good pleasure. True prayer says not only take this away, but do with me as seemeth good in Thy sight. We must surrender ourselves at discretion to His method of operating upon us, and fling wide the gates of the city of Mansoul that Prince Emanuel may rule as sole sovereign in every street. If the thing be removed, give thanks. If for a season it remain, still submit yourself to God and trust that He will make even this to work for your sanctification.
And do not be so affected by this external thing as to get into a state of worry and fretfulness. Our Saviour would have us not anxious about such matters. We ask Him to do what is right and good according to His wisdom, to remove what is harmful or dishonoring to Him if it is His will, and to protect you and others who may see it.
We pray that you will be given patience as you wait on the Lord. Scripture encourages us to run the race set before us with patience and not to grow weary, trusting Him step by step. Even when we must move through difficult places that can feel like being sheep among wolves, we are called to walk with gentleness and to trust in His unspeakable power rather than our own.
Remember that He is gracious and is content with a heart that falls down before Him and turns to Him in faith. He hears those who call on Him through Jesus Christ alone, through whom we have access to the Father.
