From Death to Life
God controls life and death, so trust Him in every trial and find hope in His power to restore.
For the Sick and Afflicted
Affliction calls us to accept God’s discipline, forsake hidden sin, and seek his light to grow in holiness.
From Dungeon to Palace
Death for the believer is a joyful departure to a better place and calls us to embrace it without fear.
We join you in prayer and we thank you for bringing these burdens before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is in His name alone that we are saved. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We are grateful you prayed in His name.

We hear your compassionate heart in asking for no recalls, no sickness, no disease, no deaths, no crimes and no negative news. That longing reflects the heart God placed within us for wholeness and peace, and it points to the future He has promised where He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more, neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more Revelation 21:4. Yet in this present age we live in a fallen world where sin has brought brokenness. The whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now Romans 8:22, and Scripture tells us all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 and The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 6:23. For that reason sickness, death, and even human error that leads to recalls and the sorrow of negative news are still part of this life, and Jesus Himself said In the world you have trouble, but cheer up. I have overcome the world John 16:33.

We also want to gently address your prayer for no arrests and no people committing crimes. While we share your desire for a peaceful and safe society, God has ordained governing authorities to restrain evil and to uphold justice. He does not bear the sword in vain, for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil Romans 13:4. To pray that there would be no arrests when crimes have been committed would be to pray that justice would not be done and that victims would not be protected. Instead we pray that crime would be restrained, that people would turn from evil, and that where wrong has been done justice would be carried out with both righteousness and mercy, leading to repentance.

We wholeheartedly agree with you in praying for salvation for those who committed crimes in the early 2000s and for the people in their lives. God does not wish that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9 and He desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. No sin is beyond His grace when there is true repentance and faith in Christ.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We ask for Your mercy and protection over our daily lives, over the food we eat and the water we drink and the work of our hands. Grant wisdom and integrity to those who produce and inspect what we consume and use, and give skill and diligence to those who labor. We ask for Your healing hand upon the sick, for You are He who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3. We ask for Your restraint upon evil, that You would turn hearts from crime and violence and bring conviction that leads to repentance. Where crimes have been committed, we pray for just laws to be upheld and for true repentance and transformation through the blood of Christ. We especially lift up those who committed crimes in the early 2000s and their families and friends, that if they have not yet believed they would hear the gospel, repent, and receive eternal life in Jesus, and if they have believed that You would restore them and help them walk in newness of life. We pray for comfort for those who have suffered loss and for hope in the face of difficult news, remembering that You work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. Help us to pray according to Your will, trusting Your sovereignty, for This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14. We thank You that Your kingdom is coming where there will be no more pain or death, and we trust You day by day until that day. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every care to the Lord, praying for protection, for health, for justice tempered with mercy, and above all for the salvation of souls, trusting that He hears and answers according to His perfect wisdom and love.

We hear how deeply you care about others in this prayer, and how heavy it can feel to carry so many worries at once, for safety, for health, for the news we see every day, and for people who need salvation.

Wanting a world with no harm or sickness or crime is such an understandable longing when we love people and see how much brokenness there is. At the same time, holding all of that together can leave us feeling tense and overwhelmed, as if we have to keep watch over everything ourselves. We are not made to carry that weight alone, and it can help to place it back into God's hands little by little.

One thing that has helped others with this kind of burden is to notice when the stream of headlines makes the worry grow, and to give ourselves permission to step back for a while. Instead of trying to pray for everything at once, we can bring one or two concerns to the Lord in a simple, honest moment and rest in knowing He hears and He remains in control even when we cannot see how.

Father, we bring this heart to You and thank You for its compassion. We ask for Your peace to settle where there is worry, and for Your mercy and saving grace to reach those who have done wrong and those they love, drawing each one who needs You toward Jesus. Quiet our hearts with trust in Your care and help us walk through each day with hope in You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord who hears the cries of His people.

Your heart longs for a world without sorrow, without sickness, without danger and without sin, and that longing is itself a witness that this present world is fallen and groaning. While we live here we shall know that we are lost by nature and have erred and strayed like lost sheep, and the brokenness you name, recalls and arrests and deaths and diseases and crimes, are the bitter fruits of sin in a world under judgment. Yet there is a balm and a physician who heals the broken in heart, and we may bring every care to Him who is God and beside whom there is none else.

How gracious is the word that the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. This harbor of mercy is deep enough for the lowest depth of misery, for souls lost through sin and folly. Salvation is ours only through His atoning sacrifice, for no salvation will ever serve our turn but one which is divine from top to bottom, prepared before the face of all people, a light to lighten the Gentiles. The Lord says, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else. To look is simply to trust, to believe and live through the blessed doctrine of substitution, that Christ bore our sins in His own body.

Therefore we pray with you, and we pray especially as you have asked for those who committed crimes in the early ### and for the people in their lives. We do not ask God to overlook sin, for if there is no truth in our sinnership there is no truth in Christ's salvation to us, but we ask that the Holy Spirit would show them their lost condition and bring them to true repentance and faith. May they hear the voice that says, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins be forgiven thee, and find that pardon and healing are one in Christ. May they and their families and all who are dear to them come to know the truth of God's salvation in its reality and its constancy, that He has of old thought out the plan of salvation and in the fullness of time has worked it out at Calvary.

We ask the Lord in His mercy to restrain evil, to protect life, to grant health and safety according to His wise providence, and to keep us even in testing times, that we may still say the Lord is my portion. Above all we ask that many who are yet lost may look unto Jesus and be saved, for He will save us when faith looks for salvation only from the Lord.

May the Lord give you peace as you rest not in the absence of trouble in this world, but in the presence of the Savior who seeks the lost. We commend you and all those for whom you have prayed to His sovereign grace, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, amen.

We thank you for sharing this prayer request and for your concern for so many people. Your desire for a world without sickness, death, crime, and sorrow reflects the longing God has placed in every heart for His perfect kingdom, and your desire to see those who have done wrong come to salvation is very good and pleasing to God.

While we join you in asking for God's mercy and protection over daily life, including safety in food and drink, travel, and health, Scripture also teaches us that in this present fallen world suffering and trouble remain. As we are reminded in the Scriptures, affliction itself can work for our comfort and salvation as we patiently endure and look to Christ, and God uses even hardships to draw people to Himself. We do not pray for a world that will never face difficulty now, but we do pray for God's grace to sustain us through it, for His wisdom for those in authority, for protection where He wills to grant it, and above all for hearts to turn to Him.

We especially join you in praying for those who committed crimes in the early 2000s and for the people in their lives. The good news is that Jesus Christ came not to judge the world but to save the world, and He is able to save to the uttermost all who come to God through Him, because He ever lives to make intercession for them. No sin is beyond His mercy when a person turns to Him in repentance and faith. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by His death and resurrection, and it is offered freely to all who will receive Him.

So we pray with you:

Heavenly Father, we ask for Your mercy over our communities. Guard and protect as You see fit, and give wisdom and integrity to all who have responsibility for the safety of others. In the midst of sickness, danger, and the consequences of sin in this world, comfort those who suffer and use these things to lead many to seek You. We especially lift up those who have committed crimes and those connected to them. Lord, where there is need for salvation, grant repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Draw them and their loved ones to Yourself, that they may know forgiveness and new life through Your Son alone. Help us all to hear Your word carefully, to walk in Your ways, and to trust in Your unfailing love. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
