Possessing Christ by faith means you already have eternal life within you.
A passion for souls means valuing eternal salvation above all else and urging you to seek it for others.
Human effort alone cannot save us or others, so we must turn to God in prayer for true rescue.
We join you in lifting up this man and the people in his life before our heavenly Father, and we are encouraged by your heart for their salvation. It is a beautiful and godly desire, for we know that God desires all people to be saved.
We are reminded in Scripture that God our Savior desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. Your prayer aligns perfectly with His heart.
We also rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that anyone can be saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved, Romans 10:9. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life, John 3:16.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this man whom our friend has laid upon our hearts, and every person in his life. Lord, You know each one by name and You see the condition of their hearts. If any of them have not yet turned from sin and placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Remove the veil from their eyes, soften any hard heart, and give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them, Ezekiel 36:26. Grant them repentance that leads to life and the faith to believe that Jesus died for their sins and rose again. Surround them with witnesses of Your gospel, with Your Word, and with Your love, that they may hear and understand and be saved. For those who already know You, we ask that You would deepen their walk and use them to be a light to the others. We trust Your perfect timing and Your perfect mercy. Let Your will be done in their lives for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your prayer for this soul and for those connected with him is a right and precious thing to bring before the Lord. Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for it bears the very character of Christ who ever liveth to make intercession for us, and it is exceedingly prevalent with Him who delights to hear His people cry for others.
There is nothing which such prayer cannot do when offered in faith through Jesus Christ, for it has stayed plagues and it has been the instrument by which the dead have been raised and sinners turned from the error of their ways. Eternity alone shall reveal how many souls have been saved through the faithful supplications of those who have agonized in prayer for others. It is a most excellent thing also for your own soul, for as you pray for this man and for the circle around him, your heart will be knit more closely to them in love and you will be fitted to be Gods instrument in bringing them the gospel.
We join you in this holy work and will carry this burden with you to the throne of grace. We pray that if this man has not yet been born again, the Lord in His mercy would open his eyes to see his need, grant him repentance unto life, and bring him to saving faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. And we pray the same for every soul in his life, that each one who is yet outside of Christ would hear the voice of the Shepherd and live. May the Lord cause His face to shine upon them, draw them by His Spirit, and keep them from evil.
