We join you in bringing these burdens before our heavenly Father and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach God and be saved. Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We agree with you for the man you mentioned and for all the people in his life, that if any have not yet repented and believed in Jesus, the Lord would draw them to Himself. 2 Peter 3:9 reminds us that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. John 3:16 declares that God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. We pray together that God would open eyes to the truth of the gospel, grant repentance and faith, and bring salvation to each one who is still without Christ.

We also lift up the need for community hospitals to remain open and for people to keep their health coverage, and the concerns about the budget. We pray for our leaders and for those who make decisions that affect the vulnerable, for 1 Timothy 2:1-2 urges that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high authority, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. We ask the Lord to grant wisdom, compassion and stewardship to those in authority, and to provide for those who are sick and in need. Philippians 4:19 says our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Psalm 41:1 says blessed is he who considers the poor, Yahweh will deliver him in the day of evil. We ask God to protect the provision of care for the poor and the sick and to guide the budget process according to His mercy and justice, and we trust Him to be our ultimate provider and healer.

We understand your heavy heart regarding Halloween. We share your desire to see darkness overcome by light and to see our culture honor Christ rather than what is evil. Scripture warns us in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 and Ephesians 5:11 to have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather to reprove them, and to turn away from practices that glorify death, fear and evil spirits. Yet we are also called not to wish for annihilation in a spirit of cursing, but to overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 says do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. John 1:5 says the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. So we pray not with hatred but with hope that the Lord would expose what is dark, that hearts would turn from celebrating darkness to celebrating the light of Christ, and that believers would be bold witnesses on that day and every day. We pray that any holiday that dishonors God would lose its hold on hearts, and that what replaces it in homes and communities would be that which honors Jesus, gives thanks for His victory over death, and points people to holiness and truth.

We also bring before the Lord your request concerning the food coop and its name. We pray that whatever name it bears would not cause confusion or dishonor, and that those who lead it would seek what is good and wholesome for the community. Colossians 3:17 says whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him. We ask God to guide that decision according to His will and for His glory.

Father, we come together in Jesus name and ask for Your will to be done in each of these matters. Save those who need salvation and draw them into a living relationship with Jesus. Sustain the hospitals and the care they provide, guide those who govern the budget, and keep and provide for those who need health coverage. Let Your light shine brighter than any darkness, and turn hearts away from what glorifies evil toward what glorifies Christ. Lead and direct even small matters like the naming of a local coop, that all things would reflect Your goodness. We trust Your sovereignty and Your love, and we thank You that we can come boldly through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We noticed how much love is behind these prayers, especially your first concern for ### and the people around him. It is a beautiful thing to bring their need for Jesus before the Father, trusting Him to work in each heart in His time and way.

We also hear your burden for your community, for hospitals to stay open and for neighbors to keep care they can afford, and for the budget decisions that weigh on so many. Those are real and heavy concerns, and it is right to bring them to God who cares for our daily needs.

And we understand your desire regarding Halloween and wanting a day that more clearly honors Christ, along with your thought about the food co-op name. That longing for what honors God in public life matters to Him.

One simple next step that may help is to keep a short written list of these prayers and bring it before the Lord a little each day, and if you have a pastor or trusted believers nearby, share the community burdens with them so you are not carrying them alone and can pray together with wisdom about any local ways to help.

Father, we lift ### and those close to him to You, asking for Your saving grace and drawing near where it is needed. We ask for Your mercy over our hospitals and communities and for wisdom for those who make budget decisions. Lead us to honor You in our celebrations and daily life. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we have joined you in bringing these burdens before the throne of grace.

We do rejoice to hear the first desire of your heart, that the Lord would save this one of whom you speak and all those connected with him if they are yet without Christ. This is the prayer which is most according to the mind of God, for He will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, but the name of Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus, and the Scripture says, whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. It is not by works or ceremonies, nor by any merit of our own, but without money and without price. Christ Himself is salvation, and to look unto Him is to be saved, even from the ends of the earth. We have prayed with you that the Lord would draw each one to look unto Jesus, to believe with the heart unto righteousness and to confess with the mouth unto salvation, and to know that blessed word, He loved me and gave Himself for me.

We have also carried before the Lord your concern for community hospitals and for those who depend upon them, and for provision for health needs and for wise stewardship in the matters of budgets and public care. We pray that the Lord in His mercy would provide for the sick and the needy, for He careth for the ox and for the bird upon the nest, how much more for those made in His image. We ask that He would give wisdom to those in authority and that His compassion would be shown to the afflicted.

Concerning your burden about Halloween, we join you in desiring that darkness should be put to flight by the light of Christ, and that what glorifies evil would have no place among the people of God. Our prayer is that the Lord would turn hearts from all that honors darkness to Him who is the true light, and that His name would be hallowed and His holiness loved, and that in every season Christ rather than vanity would be set forth.

Your request regarding the food Coop and its name we have also remembered, asking that all things in our communities might be ordered in a way that is seemly and helpful and that gives no offence, and that above all Christ might be honored there.

Continue in prayer, and cease not to hope for souls until they have ceased to live, and never cease to pray until you yourself cease to breathe. The Lord is gracious and ready to pardon, and for His name's sake He will pardon iniquity though it be great. May you find comfort in casting every care upon Him, trusting that He who gave His Son to bleed and die to accomplish salvation will surely hear the prayer that seeks the salvation of sinners.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
