We stand with you in this request for deliverance and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have authority and victory.
We understand how music and lyrics can lodge deeply in the mind and memory, and how the enemy can use those memories to torment, distract, and defile our thoughts. God calls us to guard what we allow into our hearts and minds. As it is written, I will set no vile thing before my eyes. Psalm 101:3 and Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:23
The good news is that in Christ we have power over every demonic influence and every intrusive memory. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in them. 1 John 4:4 We do not have to live as captives to those songs or words, but we can bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5
We encourage you to actively resist the devil and renew your mind daily in the Word of God. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 This means when those memories arise, choose to resist them and immediately replace them with what is true and pure. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8 Fill your heart and home with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19 Remove any music from your collection that does not honor God, and be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You see the torment of these demonic memories of music and words that cling to the mind. We ask for Your complete deliverance and cleansing. By the blood of Jesus shed on the cross and by His authority, we command every demonic influence and every unclean memory to leave and to have no more place. Father, wash this mind and make it new, fill every place once occupied by those songs with Your peace, Your Word, and Your holy presence. Help our dear loved one to take every thought captive to Christ and to dwell on what is pure and lovely. Grant strength to turn away from any music that does not glorify You and to delight in worship that honors You. Let Your Holy Spirit fill this heart with songs of deliverance and joy. We thank You that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We trust in Your power to keep and restore. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about this. Having a tune and its words loop in your mind, especially when it feels oppressive, can be exhausting and discouraging. We are glad you brought it straight to Jesus, because He is the one who brings freedom and peace.
We have found it helps to have a gentle plan for when that memory surfaces rather than fighting it with sheer willpower. When you notice it starting, you might quietly call on Jesus by name, ask Him to guard your mind, and turn your attention to something true and life giving, like a hymn or worship chorus that steadies you, a short prayer, or even stepping into a different activity for a few minutes. If the memories feel persistent or tormenting, it can also help to invite a trusted pastor or mature believer to pray with you in person, so you are not carrying this alone. You do not have to have it all figured out to come to Him, just keep coming honestly as you already have.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Your cry for deliverance has been heard and we join our prayers with yours before the throne of grace. The Scripture declares, Thou Lord hast not forsaken them that seek thee, and that promise stands firm for you in this hour when memories press upon you like archers shooting as you would draw water from Christ.
Know this, that deliverance is by divine power alone. When Israel came out of Egypt it was Jehovah who brought forth His people, and when we are led out of the sorrow and bondage of sin it is the same hand that must bring us forth. You can do nothing of yourself to cast out these troubling remembrances, and that very helplessness is where free grace is magnified. The deliverance came when the Lamb was slain, and the clock of mercy has struck the hour of deliverance for all who trust in Him. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, He has found a ransom, and that ransom is Christ Jesus. There is more music in that one word gracious than in all earthly music, for He is gracious unto us though we are full of sin, and He says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.
We pray for you now, heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, be gracious unto this seeking soul. Deliver from every demonic memory of music and words to music that haunt the mind. Wash the thoughts by the blood of the Lamb, and silence the fiery darts of the enemy. Fill the mind and heart with a new song, even songs of deliverance, for we have been delivered from worse enemies and saved by a greater salvation. Let the Holy Spirit make rare music upon the heart, and give a song that is jubilant and holy to replace what has defiled. Grant peace within the borders of the soul, and let there be music on the lips and in the household magnifying the name of the Lord.
Take comfort and continue to seek Him daily. Lay up in your memory the mercies of God, fill your hours with the Word of Christ and with psalms and hymns that exalt Him, and you shall live to declare the works of the Lord. He who has chastened will also deliver, and He will not forsake the soul that seeks Him. May the Lord keep you and cause you to sing of His redeeming love, and may you know that deliverance is of the Lord and He will accomplish it by His own power. Amen.
