Beloved of All
heavenly father pls kindly remove something from memory and a title of a song and a evil image. in jesus christ name. amen.

We hear your cry and we join with you before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, asking Him to cleanse your mind and remove what is troubling you.

We understand how distressing it can be when an evil image or a song title lingers in the memory and will not leave. The enemy seeks to defile our thoughts and steal our peace, but God has given us a way to be cleansed and renewed. We rebuke that evil influence and every unclean image that has tried to take hold in your mind, for we will set no vile thing before our eyes as Psalm 101:3 teaches, and we choose instead to fix our thoughts on what is pure and holy.

Scripture tells us how to fight this battle for the mind. We are to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ as it says in 2 Corinthians 10:5, and to be transformed by the renewing of our mind as Romans 12:2 says, so that we may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. We are taught in Philippians 4:8 to think about whatever things are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report, and God promises in Isaiah 26:3 that He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in Him. We also cling to Psalm 51:10 where we ask Him to create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us.

We pray together with you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that we have access to You only through Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and draw near to You. Lord, we ask You in mercy to wash this dear one's mind and memory. Remove that evil image and that title of a song that is causing distress. Cleanse every thought and take away what is unholy and unwelcome. Create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within, and fill this mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help this one to take every thought captive to Christ and to replace what is evil with what is true and pure and praiseworthy. Let Your Word dwell richly within, that it may crowd out darkness. We rebuke the work of the enemy and ask You to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Restore joy and quietness of spirit, and let this one hear Your voice above all other sounds. We ask this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to walk this out daily with the Lord. When the memory or image tries to return, turn immediately to Scripture and speak it aloud, sing a hymn or spiritual song to the Lord as Ephesians 5:19 encourages, and ask the Holy Spirit to fill your thoughts. Hide His Word in your heart as Psalm 119:11 says, that you might not sin against Him, and guard what you allow before your eyes and ears. Replace that song with worship that honors Him, and the Lord will be faithful to renew your mind and give you rest.

We hear how wearying it can be when an image or a song title keeps coming back when you don't want it to. You asked so simply and sincerely for God to clear it away, and we join you in that prayer for rest in your mind.

It helps many people to have a gentle plan for when the unwanted thought comes rather than fighting it hard, which can make it stick more. When you notice it, you might quietly turn your attention elsewhere, a short prayer in Jesus' name, a breath, and then intentionally setting your mind on something true and good and pure that you have chosen ahead of time. Some find it helpful to have one wholesome song or hymn ready to hum or listen to instead, and to step away from places or media where the image or song first came up if you can.

You are not alone in this struggle, and God is patient with you as you learn to take your thoughts to Him again and again.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask for Your peace over their mind and memory. Wash away what is troubling and fill that space with Your presence and what is good. Give rest today and draw them close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry for cleansing has been heard, and it is a good and needful prayer to ask the Lord to purge the mind of that which defiles it.

The heart is a den of evil, and from it flow evil thoughts, and the Lord judges not only the outward act but the inward motion of the soul by which it is instigated. Do not make light of evil thoughts, for they are not a trifle in His sight. They are the very nest in which the principle and soul of sin is found, the dark woods that harbor all sorts of evil and the fever lairs where sin fattens and grows. An evil image lodged in the memory, a title or tune that returns unbidden, these are signs of what is within and they would not so trouble you if you did not know them to be contrary to the holy mind of God. Yet there is remedy.

The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. Though your thoughts if they could be recorded would make you startle, that precious blood is able to save unto the uttermost them that come unto it. However high you have sought to ascend, still you need that cleansing, and it is freely given to those who confess and look to Christ alone for salvation. There is no other way of peace, for He was God when as yet sun and moon slept in His thoughts like unborn forests in an acorn, and He alone can wash the conscience and make the memory clean.

You ask that God would remove what now torments you. Hear then what He commands you to do. Cast your burden upon the Lord. You have a burden upon your back and upon your mind, and He bids you cast it upon Him. His thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are His ways your ways, for as the heavens are higher than the earth so are His thoughts higher than yours. Your thoughts run toward that evil image and that haunting song, but His thoughts toward you are constant, kind, wise, tender and gracious, even thoughts of love from everlasting. How precious also are His thoughts unto us, and how great is the sum of them. When you awake, you may be still with Him.

In renewing your strength, ask the Lord that your mind may be filled with a nobler tune. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, and this renewal comes not by your own power, for whatever strength is your own will one day fail you. It comes by waiting, by prayer, by filling the mind with what is revealed by God. Preach to your own soul not your own notions but what is revealed, for that shall be the power of God unto salvation. Overcome evil with good, for nobody ever overcame evil by confronting it with evil. Evil for evil is a sharp edged tool which cuts the man who uses it and hurts the mind permanently. But the mind of Christ turns from the evil and gives itself to the good, and so the evil is overcome.

Therefore, when the image or the title intrudes, do not parley with it or roll it under the tongue as a sweet morsel. Turn at once to the Lord in prayer, repeat some precious promise or psalm, set your thoughts upon His Word, and ask for the help of the Holy Spirit to think upon whatsoever is pure and holy. Cease from even thinking about the matter in your own strength and refer it to the Great Thinker who can bring good out of evil and light out of darkness.

Let us pray for you. Heavenly Father, look upon this burdened one who desires a clean mind and a pure heart. Forgive all sin through the blood of Jesus Christ, and cleanse the conscience from dead works. Remove, as it pleases Thee, the evil image and the remembrance of that song which now vexes the soul, and where Thou seest fit to leave the memory of it, give grace to overcome it with good and to set the thoughts upon Thyself. Renew strength in waiting upon Thee, let Thy precious thoughts be the daily bread of this soul, and keep this one still with Thee waking and sleeping. Grant fresh faith, more confidence, more God reliance, that the mind may be kept in perfect peace whose thoughts are stayed on Thee. In Jesus Christ's name we ask it, Amen.
