I have read your prayer request and I understand how distressing it can be when a sound or a song keeps playing over and over in your mind and you cannot seem to be free of it. You are asking God for deliverance where there seems to be no way of deliverance, and Scripture shows that He is able to make a way where there is no way. He led His people into impossible places so that He could show His power to bring them out, and their response was a song of praise for His deliverance.
Music itself is not evil. God created music as a gift, and throughout the Bible it is used to worship Him and to celebrate His works. When He delivered Israel through the sea, Moses and the people sang to the Lord because He had triumphed gloriously, and Miriam took a tambourine and led the women in rejoicing. Later David set apart musicians whose calling was simply to worship the Lord with music day after day. The Lord delights when music lifts our hearts toward Him.
At the same time music is powerful and it plants itself deeply in our memory. What we fill our minds with will return when our minds are unoccupied. If we continually take in music that is corrupt and spiritually degrading, that is what will come back to us. If we fill our minds with what builds us up, with worship and with the Word of God, then those things will fill our thoughts instead. Scripture urges us to think on whatever is true, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and worthy of praise.
For that reason the struggle is often not won by trying with sheer willpower to erase a sound, which can make us focus on it even more, but by replacement and renewal. The Bible speaks of the renewing of the mind. As you turn away from the music that troubles you and deliberately fill your mind with what honors Christ, God can quiet what has been troubling you and give you new songs in its place.
There are practical steps that can help you cooperate with that work. Limit your exposure to the sources that bring that corrupting music back, and instead give your mind wholesome things to dwell on. Fill your home and your quiet moments with worship music that points to Jesus, read Scripture aloud, memorize verses so that you have them ready when the old sound returns, and bring the thought captive to Christ in prayer the moment it comes.
I am praying for you that the Lord will bring you peace and deliverance in this. May He quiet the sounds that distress you, renew your mind, and fill your thoughts with His presence and His praise. May He guard your heart and give you rest, and may what remains in your memory be what draws you closer to Him. In Jesus Christ name, amen.
