Your request for a job and for the opportunity to leave your current city and relocate has been heard, and your desire to place your trust in the Lord rather than in people is a right and biblical desire.
The story of Job speaks directly to this kind of season. That book is very old, perhaps from the time of Abraham, yet though cultures and times have changed, the deepest needs and problems of the human heart remain the same. Job was a man whom God Himself called upright, one who loved God and turned away from evil. Even in heaven God spoke well of him, and the enemy had been watching him closely, studying him and forming a view that Job only served God because God had blessed him and placed a hedge of protection around him.
What happened to Job shows us several things for your situation. First, God knows you and sees you where you are. He has not forsaken you and He understands what you are going through, even when circumstances feel heavy and confusing. Second, difficulty or lack of provision is not by itself a sign that you have done something wrong. Job's friends made that mistake. They insisted that if a person was right with God, he would have no trouble, and they accused Job of hidden sin and hypocrisy. Their counsel only added to his pain. Their words were not from the Spirit of God but from their own limited understanding and grief, and God later corrected them. You do not need to receive the false idea that your need for work means God is against you.
A right relationship with God is one of complete trust and commitment, especially when we do not understand what He is doing. Job himself did not understand his circumstances and he cried out with honest questions. At one point he declared, though God would slay him, yet he would trust Him. That is the place God brings us to when answers are not clear, to simply trust Him. It can feel frustrating to hear the Lord say trust Me when we want to know why and how, but that trust is what He counts for righteousness, just as He did for Abraham and for Job when Job kept his integrity.
Your longing to not put your trust in people in your city can become, by God's grace, a turning to put your trust more fully in Him. People will disappoint, but the Lord does not. He invites you to seek Him, to receive His word into your heart, and to be at peace with Him, knowing that He will direct your steps concerning work and where you are to live.
I pray for you now that God, according to His wisdom and will, would open the right door for employment and make clear whether and when to relocate, and that He would provide for each step. I pray He would guard your heart from bitterness toward others and instead fill you with a steady confidence in Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to God. May He give you patience in the waiting, strength to maintain your integrity before Him, and the assurance that He has not left you and that He will work all things together for good in His time. In Jesus name, amen.
