We join with you in this humble and honest cry before our heavenly Father and we thank you for coming to Him with a repentant heart seeking forgiveness and freedom from anger.

We are reminded of His great mercy toward us when we confess our sins. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. And as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us Psalm 103:12. He knows the something you carry even when you do not speak it in detail and He invites you to bring it fully into His light so that you may be cleansed and restored. There is no sin too great for His forgiveness when we turn to Him through Jesus Christ.

We also hear your desire to have all anger removed from your heart and we know this pleases the Lord. His Word teaches us to let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:31-32. We are also warned to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God James 1:19-20. And we are told Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath Ephesians 4:26. Anger when held in the heart can take root and give place to bitterness, so we must ask God not only to forgive us but to transform us and fill us with His peace and gentleness.

We rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and forgiven. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for Your mercy and grace. We ask You to forgive our brother or sister for the sin that weighs on their heart. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Lord, remove all anger, wrath and bitterness from their heart and replace it with Your love, kindness and tenderheartedness. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them and to walk in Your peace. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit so that they may be slow to anger and quick to show grace. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus and lead them in righteousness. We trust in Your forgiveness and Your power to make us new. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every thought and feeling to God in prayer, to meditate daily on His Word and to allow His Spirit to soften your heart. If your anger is toward another person, we encourage you to forgive them as Christ forgave you Colossians 3:13, not because the hurt was not real but because Christ has released you from the burden of holding it. Walk in that freedom today knowing you are fully forgiven and deeply loved.

Thank you for sharing this honest prayer with us. We hear your desire to be forgiven and to have anger lifted from your heart, and we are joining you as you bring that to God.

Wanting anger gone is a humble and good thing to ask. Anger is a common human response when we feel hurt, disappointed or overwhelmed, and bringing it to God just as it is, as you did, is a healthy step. Often there is a clear decision to turn from what grieves Him and to release anger to Him, and then a slower quieting of those strong feelings as we keep walking with Him day by day. Both are part of how He works in us.

One simple next step that many find helpful is to notice when that anger stirs and pause for a brief honest prayer in that moment, telling God what you are feeling and asking Him to help you respond in a way that honors Him. It keeps your heart open to Him through the day, not only afterward.

If anger feels heavy often, it can also help to talk regularly with a trusted pastor or counselor who can listen and pray with you.

Father, we thank You that You hear this prayer offered in Jesus' name. We ask You to give assurance of Your forgiveness and to gently soften the heart where anger has taken hold. Give wisdom and peace for each day and draw this heart closer to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

There is forgiveness with God, and that blessed word is for you even now. Your prayer has risen before Him who hears the faintest heartbeat of a penitent soul, and He has not left the question of forgiveness in doubt. The Scripture declares, There is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared, and that forgiveness is not for a few choice sins, but for all sin, and it is to be found with God alone, through Jesus Christ His Son, who died the Just for the unjust that He might bring us to God.

You confess you need forgiveness and you ask that anger may be taken from your heart. This is the very work which the Lord delights to do. He not only forgives at the first all our sins for Christ's sake, but He continues daily to forgive, and His forgiveness is complete and eternal. If you tremble and desire forgiveness with a penitent heart, lie before Jesus as that poor palsied man lay in His presence, hoping and expecting both forgiveness and healing. Believe the word as Martin Luther was bid to believe it when he was in dark distress, I believe in the forgiveness of sins, and believe it for yourself. Believe that for His dear Son's sake your sins are blotted out, as a creditor blots out a debt when the debtor has nothing to pay.

And with forgiveness He gives a new heart. The promise is, A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. The same grace which pardons anger will also subdue it. Anger belongs to the old nature which is to be put off, and the Lord can make the heart tender where it was hard, and give spiritual eyes and ears to perceive His presence and to walk in love. As you have been forgiven, so learn also to forgive, letting all bitterness and wrath be put away, and be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

May the Lord now create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you. May He assure you that through the blood of Jesus you are fully forgiven, and may His Holy Spirit daily heal you, for even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the soul, and the least touch of Christ brings healing to head and heart and affection. Seek Him, trust Him, and rest in His finished work.

We pray with you: Heavenly Father, forgive this soul for the sake of Jesus Christ who bore sin upon the cross. Blot out transgression and remember it no more. Take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh, remove all anger and fill the heart with Thy peace and love. Keep this one near to Christ, walking in newness of life, fearing Thee and rejoicing in full forgiveness. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
