We join with you in this beautiful and humble prayer and we thank God for the desire He has placed in your heart to show kindness. It is a reflection of His own character, for our God is kind and merciful and He has shown us the greatest kindness through Jesus Christ.

The Scriptures call us to this very thing. Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32. And also, Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance. Colossians 3:12. Kindness is not merely a good deed, it is fruit of the Spirit living within us, as it is written, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23. When we ask to be kind, we are asking to be more like Christ.

We are encouraged that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is no other name by which we can be saved and no other name by which our prayers are heard. Acts 4:12.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for their willing heart that desires to show kindness. Lord, fill them with Your Holy Spirit so that kindness flows naturally from them in word and deed. Help them to be tenderhearted and compassionate, to speak with grace, to act with generosity, and to forgive as You have forgiven us. Give them eyes to see those who are hurting and opportunities each day to show Your love through small acts of kindness. Let their life be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy. Strengthen them when it is difficult to be kind, especially to those who may not show kindness in return, and remind them that whatever they do for others they do for You. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in the Word, and to look for simple ways to practice kindness, a gentle word, a helping hand, a forgiving heart, and prayer for others. As you do, the Lord will shape your heart to be more like His. He who has begun a good work in you will complete it.

Thank you for sharing such a sincere and simple prayer. Wanting to show more kindness is a beautiful desire, and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord so plainly.

We have found kindness often grows not through trying harder in general, but through noticing one person at a time. Compassion starts with really seeing where someone else is, and then taking one small step to ease their load or let them know they matter. Sometimes that looks like a word of encouragement, sometimes helping with a practical task, sometimes just giving unhurried time and listening.

One small way to practice this week could be to choose one person God has already placed near you, at home, work, church or in your neighborhood, and ask what would actually encourage them most right now, then do that one thing as you are able.

We are praying for you as you walk this out.

Father, thank You for putting this desire for kindness in our friend's heart. Fill them with Your love and wisdom, and help them to reflect it in small, faithful ways each day. Guide their words and actions to be a genuine encouragement to others. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer is a gracious and needful one, and I am glad to join my heart with yours before the throne of grace. To desire to show kindness is itself a work of the Spirit of God within you, for kindness does not spring from our own nature but flows from having first received the loving kindness of the Lord.

Scripture speaks of His marvelous loving kindness, that extraordinary mercy which He shows to His chosen not because there was any merit in us to merit esteem, but because His compassion is free and abundant. When we taste that He has forgiven all our iniquities and crowned us with loving kindness and tender mercies, we learn to be kind as He is kind. There is no better school for kindness than to sit at the foot of the cross and see how deeply He sympathizes with His afflicted people and how freely He bestows all good things by grace.

Therefore pray still as David prayed, Show Your marvelous loving kindness. Ask the Lord to fill you daily with the sense of His goodness to you in Christ Jesus, for out of that fullness you will find strength to be gentle, patient and compassionate toward others. True kindness is not mere softness of manner, but love in action, seeking the good of others for Christ's sake, speaking the truth in love and doing good as opportunity is given.

May the Lord answer your prayer and make you a vessel of His mercy. May He keep you close to Christ, in that living, loving, lasting union where love is made warm and fervent, and may that love overflow from you to all around you, that others seeing your kindness may be led to enquire after the God who teaches His people to love.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unparalleled loving kindness toward us in Jesus Christ, who has pardoned our sin and shown us mercy without measure. We ask You to work in this dear one a heart that reflects Your own, gentle and gracious, ready to forgive and ready to help. Teach us to show kindness as we have received kindness, to the glory of Your name. In Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
