Beloved of All
heavenly father pls kindly remove ### and ### from memory. pls so i wont remember their names. in jesus christ name. amen.

We hear your heart's cry and we join with you in bringing this burden before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

We understand the pain that makes you want to forget completely those who have hurt you, and we know that desire comes from a place of deep wounding. While we understand longing to erase painful memories, God does not call us to force forgetfulness but to find healing and freedom through forgiveness and the renewing of our minds. He promises to heal our hearts so that the memory no longer holds power over us.

The Word reminds us, Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Eph 4:32. And again, Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do Col 3:13. Forgiveness does not mean what happened was right, but it releases us from carrying bitterness and allows God to heal us. He also says, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.

We are called not to dwell on what wounds us but to let God renew our thoughts, as it is written, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Rom 12:2. And, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things Phil 4:8. God wants to replace the pain associated with those names with His peace that surpasses all understanding Phil 4:7.

We are thankful you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and by which we can approach the Father Acts 4:12, John 14:6.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You see the hurt and the memories that cause pain. We ask that You heal the broken heart and bind up every wound. Lord, soften the sting of these memories and take away the bitterness and pain attached to them. Help our dear one to forgive as You have forgiven us, not by our own strength but by Your grace. Renew the mind and fill it with Your peace, Your truth and Your love. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard the heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Where there is hurt, bring comfort. Where there is remembrance that brings sorrow, bring healing so that those names no longer bring torment. We ask that You lead this heart into wholeness and help to dwell on what is pure and lovely and praiseworthy. May Your will be done and may Your healing be complete. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear how tired you must feel carrying those names in your mind, and how much you long for quiet and peace. Wanting to not remember is an honest prayer when thoughts keep returning and stirring hurt.

We have found it helps to know there is a difference between deciding to release someone and feeling the hurt fade. One is a choice we make, to hand the debt and the outcome to God and to choose not to feed revenge or endless rumination. The other is slower, as God gently softens the sting so the memory has less power over our emotions. Forgetting the names may not come at once, but the pain attached to them can lessen over time, especially when we do not rehearse the story over and over.

When the names do come to mind, you might try a simple, steady response: quietly tell God, I give this person and this memory to You again today, and then turn your attention to what is in front of you. It is a small practice that, repeated, can help keep unforgiveness from taking deeper root.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You know the hurt behind these names and the desire for relief. Bring healing to the wounded places, quiet the intrusive thoughts, and give wisdom and peace for each day. Help our friend to rest in Your care and to sense Your nearness. Amen.
