We join with you in lifting up this mother and the people in her life before our Heavenly Father, and we thank you for praying in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and hope of salvation.
We agree with you in asking for their salvation, for God desires that none should perish. As it is written, The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 and For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16. We pray that if this mother or any of those around her have not yet believed, the Holy Spirit would draw them to repentance and faith, for There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. We ask the Father to open their eyes to the truth of the gospel, to soften their hearts, and to bring godly influences and faithful witnesses into their lives who will speak the hope of Christ with love and clarity.
We also join you in praying for the cleansing and renewal of the mind, that those sounds and that title would be permanently removed from memory and no longer bring distress or distraction. We know that God is able to renew our minds and give us peace as we fix our thoughts on Him. We pray as Scripture teaches, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 and we ask Him to help in throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. We pray that God would replace what is troubling with what is healing and holy, for Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8.
We pray together, Father, we lift up this mother to You and every person connected to her life. If any of them does not yet know You as Savior, we ask that You would grant them repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, that they would confess Him as Lord and believe that You raised Him from the dead and be saved. Surround them with Your grace and with believers who will share Your word with them. And Father, we ask for Your healing power over the mind and memory. Wash away those sounds and that title that linger, and create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within. Psalm 51:10. Fill that space with Your peace, Your truth, and Your songs, and keep in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on You. Help the one who prayed this to continue to intercede with confidence, trusting that You hear prayers offered in the name of Jesus and that You are faithful to complete the good work You begin. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for this mother and her loved ones and, as God gives opportunity, to share the simple gospel with them that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again, and that all who believe in Him receive forgiveness and eternal life. Trust Him also to guard your own mind, spending time daily in His word and in prayer, so that He may continually renew your thoughts and give you rest.
