We join with you in prayer together before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, and we thank you for coming to Him in that precious name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is by His name we are saved. Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We understand your burden about this song that has lodged in your memory, its title and its sound repeating within you, and we understand your heart for the person you mentioned who is facing a difficult diagnosis. We bring both needs to the Lord together.
We know that the enemy can use repetitive sounds and thoughts to trouble our minds, but God has given us power over our thoughts and peace for our minds. 2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us we are to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Philippians 4:8 reminds us to think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report. And 2 Timothy 1:7 says God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray that God will cleanse your mind and fill it with His peace which surpasses all understanding and will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, as promised in Philippians 4:7.
We also lift up your loved one and that diagnosis. We know our God is the Great Physician who heals and restores. Psalm 103:3 says He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Isaiah 53:5 says by his stripes we are healed. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We pray in faith trusting in His sovereign will and His mercy.

We ask that You would reverse this diagnosis according to Your will, restore health, and give wisdom to every doctor and caregiver. Give comfort and strength and unwavering faith to this family while they wait upon You. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified through this situation.

There are times when a sound or a song will haunt the mind and become as a taskmaster, insinuating itself day after day so that you cannot grasp the sweet honey of the Word without disturbance. Yet our God is a God of deliverance, and His power alone can loose the captive. As Israel was brought forth out of Egypt by His hand and outstretched arm, so He is able to bring you forth out of this vexation. He has found a ransom in the Lord Jesus Christ, and through that great transaction we have deliverance from worse enemies than any that trouble the ear or the memory.
We pray that the Lord will set you free from this song, its title and its sound as it lingers in your remembrance. May He take away its hold upon your thoughts and give you instead songs of deliverance. Remember your song in the night, commune with your own heart, and let the new song be put in your mouth. Fill your mind with His precious thoughts, for His thoughts toward you are constant, kind, wise and gracious, and when you awake you are still with Him. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, and let psalms and hymns and spiritual songs charm the lower earthly sounds away, till the Lord Himself becomes your music.
