We join with you in bringing these needs before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank you for your heart to see others saved and cared for in even practical details.

We lift up the older man you mentioned and the others at that place who need pants that fit properly and do not drag on the floor. We ask the Lord to provide for their daily needs with dignity and safety. We are reminded of the promise in Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And in Matthew 6:31-33 we are taught not to be anxious about what we will wear, for our heavenly Father knows we need these things, but to seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness.

We also lift up the young woman who is an employee there and the two older women you mentioned. Above all we agree with you in praying for their salvation and for the salvation of all the people in their lives. It is the desire of God that none should be lost, as it is written in 1 Timothy 2:4 who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, and in 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. We pray that each one would come to confess with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in the heart that God raised him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. And Acts 4:12 reminds us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We also join you in praying about the use of corrupt speech. We gently correct and encourage those who swear, for the Lord calls us to wholesome speech. Ephesians 4:29 says Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. And Colossians 3:8 says But now you also put them all away, anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth. We pray that their mouths would instead be filled with words that build up and give grace, reflecting a heart transformed by Christ.

We pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring this older man before you, the young woman who works there, and the older women, and every person connected to them. If any of them has not yet put their trust in Jesus, we ask that you draw them by your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to their need for a Savior, and bring them to repentance and faith. Save their households as well, Lord, that they might all know your mercy. Provide for their practical needs, including clothing that fits well and honors you, and keep them safe from tripping or harm. Touch the hearts and mouths of those who swear, convict them and help them to put away corrupt speech and to speak what is helpful and gracious. We thank you that we can come boldly to your throne only through Jesus. We ask all this according to your will in Jesus name, amen.

Your intercessory prayer is a sweet and precious offering before the Lord, and it is encouraging to see your heart thus enlarged toward others. Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for the prayer of Christ Himself is of this character, and it is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought, and as to how many souls it has instrumentally saved, eternity shall reveal. In thus praying for others you also knit your own heart together in love and you fit yourself to be God's instrument for good.

We join with you in bringing these burdens before the throne of grace, remembering that our God hears even feeble prayer and that in His sight there is not much difference between great troubles and little ones, for all things are little to Him who is so great.

We pray first for salvation, which is the greatest need of every soul. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed, and the Lord Himself cries, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. Salvation is without money and without price, by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. So we ask that the older man you mentioned, the woman employed where you noted, the two older women, and the other man you named, together with all the people in their lives and in your own circle, if they have not yet looked to Christ in faith, may be brought to do so. May the Holy Spirit show them their need, draw them to trust wholly in the finished work of Christ, and give them that faith which is trusting in Him alone for pardon and life.

We pray also for those you mentioned who struggle with swearing. May the Lord who can change the heart also tame the tongue, that their speech may be seasoned with grace and truth, and that out of the abundance of a renewed heart the mouth may speak what is wholesome and edifying.

And for the practical needs you have laid before the Lord concerning clothing, that pants would not drag upon the ground, we bring even these small matters to Him who cares for the bird upon the nest and numbers the hairs of our heads. He who provides salvation so freely will also provide for the daily needs of His creatures according to His wisdom and mercy. We ask Him to supply what is fitting and modest and needful for each one.

Continue steadfastly in this excellent work of intercession. Spread your case before Him with humility and press your suit with holy arguments drawn from His promises, for true prayer is pleading with the Most High. He hears the whisper breathed into His ear by a believing heart.

We commend all these persons and petitions to our gracious God, praying that He will do above what we ask, for His glory and for the good of souls, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
