We join you in prayer and thank God for the burden He has placed on your heart for the salvation of so many. It is a beautiful reflection of His own heart, for we read in 1 Timothy 2:3-4 that this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. We also remember 2 Peter 3:9 that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Your intercession for each man, woman, and child you mentioned, and for all the people in their lives, is precious to God.
We agree with you that salvation is only through Jesus Christ, and we rejoice that you closed your request in Jesus Christ's name. As it is written in Acts 4:12 there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Romans 10:9 we are told that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We pray that each person you named, whether they are known to us by name or known only to God, would hear the gospel, repent, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray also for boldness for you to share the good news as God gives opportunity.
We also lift up the other burdens on your heart and we want to encourage you in them. You asked for help to not put your trust in others, and that is a wise prayer. We are reminded in Psalm 118:8 it is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man, and in Jeremiah 17:7 blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is Yahweh. People will fail us, but God never will, and we pray God will teach you to place your full confidence in Him alone while still loving others with appropriate boundaries.
You asked for help to avoid staring at others. We understand this as a desire for purity and self control, and God honors that. We remember Job 31:1 I made a covenant with my eyes, how then should I look lustfully at a young woman, and Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. We pray God will strengthen you to guard your eyes and your thoughts, to look away quickly and to see others as souls made in God's image rather than objects. This discipline protects your heart and honors God.
You asked for help to stay off TikTok and for deliverance from all demons and from memories of a certain lyric. We take these requests seriously. We are told in Psalm 101:3 I will set no vile thing before my eyes, and in Philippians 4:8 to think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely. Many things on that platform can feed temptation, comparison, impurity, and wasted time, so your desire to stay away is wise. We also know that our struggle is spiritual and that God gives victory. James 4:7 says be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you, and 1 John 4:4 reminds us that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. We pray God will cleanse your mind and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ as taught in 2 Corinthians 10:5, and that He will replace that lyric with songs and scriptures that bring peace.
We also bring before the Lord the practical needs you mentioned, the mansion driveway to be replaced and the pizza refund incident to be resolved. God cares about both great and small matters, and we are told in Philippians 4:6 in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. We pray for provision, fairness, and peace in these situations, that they would be resolved honestly and without strife, and that you would trust God with the outcome.
Heavenly Father, we come together before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up every soul our friend has mentioned, the men and women and children and all those connected to them, and we ask for their salvation. Draw each one by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to their need for a Savior, and bring them to repentance and faith in Jesus. We pray for the former leader and the swimmer and all others, that they would come to know You. We ask You to help our friend to trust You alone, to guard his eyes, to walk in purity, and to find strength to stay away from what tempts him. Deliver him completely from every demonic influence and from every lingering memory of that lyric, fill his mind with Your Word and Your peace. Provide for the driveway need according to Your will and bring a just and peaceful resolution to the refund matter. Guard his heart and mind with the peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and only Savior, amen.
