It is the heart of our Father that none should perish but that all should come to repentance, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:3-4. We know that the Lord is patient toward us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9.
We are encouraged that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16. We also lift up every person in his life, his family, his friends, his coworkers and all those connected to him, and we ask that if any of them are outside of Christ, You would have mercy upon them and save them also. Send laborers across their paths to share the good news of the gospel, remove every veil and every hindrance, and let Your Holy Spirit convict them of sin and reveal the hope that is only in Jesus. Your prayer for the salvation of another is itself a token of grace at work in your own soul, for it is a great advance when we are risen out of anxiety for ourselves into care for a brother's soul. Such intercession is an act of communion with Christ, who ever liveth to make intercession for us before the Father's throne, and when we pray for fellow sinners we are in sympathy with Him who made intercession for the transgressors.
We will join you in this holy pleading. There is but one way of salvation for all, whether for this man or for those dear to him, and that is by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus. The Scripture saith, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for beside Him there is none else. With the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, for whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. It is without money and without price, not by works or ceremonies, but by the precious blood of Him who loved us and gave Himself for us.
