Beloved of All
heavenly father pls kindly remove a persons name from memory so i cant remember pls kindly remove something from memory and something else from yesterday and something from ### and something from ###. in jesus christ name. amen.

We join with you in bringing this request before our heavenly Father, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and confidence that He hears us. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.

We understand the burden you are carrying and the desire to have painful memories, a name, and events from yesterday and from recent days removed from your mind. While we do not know the specific details you have mentioned, God knows them fully. Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar, Psalm 139:1-2. Nothing is hidden from Him, and He understands the pain behind this prayer even when words are few.

We want to gently encourage you that God's way is not always to erase our memory as if deleting a file, but to heal our hearts and renew our minds so that painful memories no longer have power over us. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. He promises His peace to guard our hearts and thoughts when we bring our requests to Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

We also hear in your request a desire to forget what is behind and find relief. Scripture calls us to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Romans 12:2. We are taught to dwell on what will bring healing, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things, Philippians 4:8. And we are reminded, Don't remember the former things, and don't consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it springs out. Don't you know it, Isaiah 43:18-19. The apostle Paul also wrote, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, Philippians 3:13-14. This forgetting is not a loss of memory but a releasing of its hold so we can move forward in Christ.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the name and the memories that are causing distress, the things from yesterday and from recent days that weigh heavily. We ask that according to Your perfect will You would bring healing to this mind and heart. If it is Your will to remove the sting and the constant recollection of these things, we ask You to do so. If it is Your will to redeem these memories and use them for good, we ask You to transform them by Your grace. Grant Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Help this dear one to take every thought captive to Your obedience, to be renewed in mind, and to dwell on what is true and pure and lovely. Bind up every wound, comfort every sorrow, and help to forgive where forgiveness is needed and to trust You with what cannot be changed. Lead forward into the new thing You are doing, and let Your will be done in this life for Your glory. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring these thoughts to God daily in prayer, to speak honestly with Him, and to fill your mind with His Word. If these memories involve hurt caused by another person or trauma that continues to trouble you, we encourage you to also seek godly counsel from a trusted pastor or mature believer who can walk with you, pray with you, and help you apply Scripture to your healing. Trust that God is working even this for good for those who love Him, as it is written, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28. Keep seeking Him, and He will give you rest for your soul.

We hear how much you want relief from these memories, the name that keeps coming back and the things from yesterday and the other days you mentioned. Wanting them to be gone makes sense when they feel heavy or distracting and you just want peace of mind again.

In our experience, trying hard to force a memory away often keeps it more present. Healing more often looks like God gently loosening its grip over time, so even if the facts remain, they carry less sting and less power to take over your thoughts. He can quiet the replay and help you carry what happened in a calmer, more settled way as you walk with Him day by day.

One small step that helps many people is to have a simple plan for when that name or image surfaces. Instead of wrestling to push it out, pause for a moment and honestly tell Jesus, this is here again and I do not want to carry it alone, and ask Him to hold it with you and to steady your mind in that moment. If you notice the memories feel very intrusive or make sleep or daily life hard, it is also a kind step to share what you are carrying with a trusted pastor or counselor who can support you alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see the memories that feel so heavy and the desire for quiet and rest. Please bring Your comfort and healing to their mind, soften what is painful, and guard their thoughts with Your peace. Help them to sense You near in each moment these thoughts return and to trust You with what they cannot control. In Jesus name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The longing to have painful memories softened and lifted is one which many a burdened heart well understands, and your cry has been heard with prayerful care before the Lord.

You ask that names and things from yesterday and from other days might be taken quite away from your remembrance. The Scriptures do not teach us to seek from God a mere blotting out of the mind as though peace could come by forgetting alone, for forgetting God Himself is spoken of as a great evil, an imperceptible alienation of heart which grows as we mind earthly things. What the Lord does promise is something far better than an empty memory. He promises a cleansed conscience and a kept mind. You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is not found in trying to forget, but in looking to Jesus.

There is a peace which comes by ignoring God, but that peace is deceptive and ruinous, as if a man should say he is at peace with God only because he has forgotten Him. True peace is the publication in the conscience of the peace made by blood. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within. Being purged by that precious blood we have no more conscience of sin to condemn us, and being at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ we are kept in heart and mind even while sorrows surge round. If the things you would forget involve sin committed or sin suffered, the way of relief is not to ask for mental erasure alone, but to come with confession to Him who cleanses from all sin, and to ask that the Holy Spirit who once gave joy and rest in Christ would do so again.

He also renews strength to those who wait upon Him. Our own strength of body, mind or spirit will fail, and the sin that dwells in us drags us down, but to those who have no might He increases strength. Therefore instead of praying only that memory might be emptied, pray that your mind might be stayed and filled. Let Jerusalem come into your mind, let Christ who is there come into your mind, let His promises and His finished work occupy your thoughts in earthly enjoyments and in bereavement and in the press of duties. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

May the Lord grant you this. Seek Christ first, and peace will come next.

We pray for you now, that the God of all peace would look upon you in mercy. Heavenly Father, we ask not for a forgetfulness that leaves the heart still unhealed, but for that perfect peace which You keep for those whose minds are stayed on You. Speak peace and pardon to this guilty and weary spirit through the blood of Jesus Christ, cleanse the conscience, renew the strength, and keep the heart and mind by Christ Jesus. Give grace to forgive as You have forgiven, to trust Your keeping power for loved ones far away or near, and to find rest in doing Your will. Lift this burden, calm this troubled memory, and cause this soul to look to Jesus and be lightened. In the name of Jesus Christ, who is our peace, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before our heavenly Father, who knows the burden you carry and the memories that weigh on your heart.

You have asked that God would take away the remembrance of a name and of things from yesterday and from other times that trouble you. God understands this desire to be free from what pains and disturbs the mind. The Scriptures do not teach that He simply wipes the mind as if nothing happened, but that He heals the heart and gives a peace that guards us. As it is written, the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. When that peace rules in the heart, it acts as an umpire between troubling thoughts, quieting anger and distress and teaching us to rest in Him.

Forgetting in the Christian life is not only an erasing of facts, but a healing of the soul, so that what once wounded us no longer has power over us. The Lord is like a physician who does not always heal with a single touch, but with patient care, through His Word heard continually, through prayer, and through time. Even if the relief does not come at once, keep coming to Him, keep hearing the Scriptures, and trust that He is working, often little by little, to restore you to health and to renew your mind.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have access to Your mercy. You know this dear one and every memory that causes pain. We ask that You would grant the peace that comes from You, that steady and firm peace which the world cannot give, to rule in this heart. Guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Where there is distress over what is remembered, bring healing. Help to let go of what is harmful to dwell on, and to set the mind on what is true and holy and good. Give strength to forget what needs to be left behind, not by our own effort alone, but by Your grace that makes the soul beautiful and whole. Comfort and sustain, and lead into fullness of life with You. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in the Scriptures, and walk closely with fellow believers who can support you. God is faithful and He hears those who call upon Him through Christ.
