We join together with you in prayer before our heavenly Father and we thank you for bringing this burden to Him in the name of Jesus Christ.
We understand how a song title or a lyric can lodge itself in the mind and become a distraction or even a torment. We know our Father desires to renew our minds and to give us peace, and He is able to cleanse and restore our thoughts. Scripture encourages us, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8. We are also called to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5. This is not by our own willpower alone, but by inviting the Holy Spirit to transform us and to fill our minds with what honors God.
We also lift up the woman you mentioned. We do not know her need, but God does, and His desire is that all would be saved and come to knowledge of the truth. We pray that if she does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, that the Father would draw her to Himself, open her eyes to the gospel, and grant her repentance and faith. We are reminded that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. For there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12.

We ask that You would in Your mercy remove this music title and lyric from our dear one's memory permanently, as far as it is Your will. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Psalm 51:10. Wash our minds and help us to take every thought captive to Christ. Where this lyric has taken hold, we ask You to replace it with Your Word, with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs that edify and bring peace. Help us to guard our ears and our hearts and to dwell on what is pure and lovely. Grant us Your peace that surpasses understanding to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Father, we also lift up this woman to You. If she is lost, we ask that You would save her. Draw her by Your Spirit, convict her of sin, and reveal to her the love and sacrifice of Jesus who died for our sins and rose again. Grant her faith to believe and a heart to confess Jesus as Lord. If she is already Yours, strengthen her, protect her, and meet her needs according to Your riches in glory. Let Your will be done in her life.

We are glad you brought this honestly before the Lord. Wanting a song title and lyric to leave your mind is understandable, especially when you want your thoughts to be quiet and clear before Him.
We have noticed that trying very hard not to think about something can actually make it come back more often. It tends to help more to gently give your mind something else to turn to when it surfaces. When the lyric comes, you can notice it without wrestling with it, and then calmly redirect your attention to something you choose that is true and good, a hymn you love, a simple prayer, the task right in front of you. It is a quiet practice of letting Christ renew the way we think, little by little, rather than forcing a thought away in one moment.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His mercy and grace.
You speak of a title and a lyric that clings to the memory and will not depart. This is a trial well known to many of the people of God. Intruding thoughts surround us like a plague of flies, they are here, there and everywhere, and the mind itself may become the lair of misery if left to itself. Yet the Lord who searches the heart and reads every thought is able to cleanse and to keep the thoughts of His children. He has taught us to hate vain thoughts and to love His law, and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
Do not be dismayed that such a remembrance troubles you. Even the Psalmist knew the multitude of thoughts within him, and found that the comforts of God could still delight his soul. Your way to deliverance is not to strive in your own strength, for whatever strength is our own will one day fail us, but to wait upon the Lord who renews strength, and to seek rest in Christ who gives rest to the weary and heavy laden. Ask Him to undertake a fresh work in you, that your mind may be tuned to a nobler tune, filled with more expectancy and more faith and more reliance upon God.
Fill the chamber of your mind with that which is precious. How precious are the thoughts of God toward His people, thoughts that have been from everlasting, constant and kind and tender and gracious. Think much upon His Word, upon His promises, upon Christ Himself. Let Scripture dwell richly in you, let prayer and holy song take the place of that which you would forget, and the Lord will in His own way cause the vain thing to fade as you behold that which is better. Preach not your own notions to your soul, but that which is revealed by God, for it shall be the power of God unto salvation and unto sanctification.
And for the woman of whom you speak, we pray with you that if she be without Christ she may be brought to know Him who alone is the way of salvation. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, but Jesus Christ the Lord. We cannot discover the way of life by our own thoughts, for His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways as the heavens are higher than the earth. Salvation is of the Lord, and we entreat Him to work by His Spirit to reveal Christ to her, to show her sin and to show her the Saviour, that she may turn and live.

The renewal God gives does not make you another person, but makes the same person new, cleansing what has grown old and filling the mind with what is good. We ask Him to take away the title and lyric that troubles your memory and to set His helmet of salvation upon your thoughts, so that your mind may be kept as His house, guarded from what is unhelpful and filled with sound judgment and those things which belong to Him. As you seek Him, keep turning to Scripture, to prayer, and to wholesome thoughts, trusting that He is able to quench what harms and to establish what gives hope and peace.
