Beloved of All
Your heart to bring this woman before the Lord in prayer reflects the very work of intercession that God delights to use. Intercession reaches beyond our own needs to place another person before God, asking Him to work in her life, and no prayer is complete without that outward reach.
God desires that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, and salvation is not a reward we earn but a gift of His grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It has nothing to do with our effort or merit. The one prayer He waits to hear from anyone who is not yet His child is the cry for mercy, God be merciful to me, a sinner, which opens the relationship that makes all other prayer possible. Through Jesus, who was brought into the world through a woman, salvation is offered to every woman and every man, for in the Lord we are all on equal ground before Him and each is precious in His sight and necessary in His purpose.
Prayer is not a way to make God change His mind or to get our own wishes granted. Its purpose is to see His will done on earth as it is in heaven. He will not violate the freedom of choice He has given, but prayer opens the door for Him to do what He has long desired to do in a life. That is why we are called to continue in prayer and to watch with thanksgiving, moving from simple asking to deeper and more persistent intercession and then to giving thanks as we trust Him to answer. When we come into harmony with His purpose, we often see Him answer what we have been faithfully bringing before Him.
Thank you for laboring fervently in this way. Keep bringing her before the Father, asking that if she does not yet know Jesus as Savior, the Holy Spirit would draw her to Himself, open her eyes to her need, and lead her to put her faith in Christ alone for forgiveness and new life. And as you pray, thank Him in advance for His love for her and His willingness to save all who call upon Him.
May the Lord encourage you as you continue to intercede, and may He bring this woman into a living relationship with Jesus Christ where she can truly say, Father, and know the assurance and comfort His Spirit brings. In Jesus name, amen.
