We join with you in prayer together before our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank you for calling upon His name, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and deliverance from every work of darkness.

We hear your cry for freedom from demonic oppression, from spirits and memories and images tied to music that has troubled your mind, and for help regarding the interview date for cash benefits. We understand how tormenting intrusive memories and images can be, and how heavy spiritual heaviness feels, but we take comfort that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world, as it says in 1 John 4:4, and that when we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us, as promised in James 4:7.

The battle we face is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces, as Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, and God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control according to 2 Timothy 1:7. We also are called to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ as in 2 Corinthians 10:5, and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds as in Romans 12:2. This means that deliverance is not only God removing what is evil, but our actively filling our minds and hearts with what is pure and holy. We encourage you to completely remove that music and any images or titles associated with it from your possession and your listening, and not to return to it, and instead to fill your mind with the Word of God, with worship that glorifies Christ, and with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report as Philippians 4:8 teaches. God promises to keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast on Him, as Isaiah 26:3 says, and to create in us a clean heart as Psalm 51:10 declares.

Concerning the interview for cash benefits, we bring this need before the Lord as well, trusting that our Father knows our needs and will provide. Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His mercy and deliverance.

We hear in your words a deep longing to be free from oppressive memories, from images and sounds that have fastened themselves upon the mind, and from every influence of darkness. Know this, that deliverance is of the Lord alone. As the Scripture declares, He hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Deliverance from the guilt of sin and deliverance from the power of sin are both His work, and must be sought from Him altogether and alone.

There is comfort for you in this truth, that God hath found a ransom. The prisoner ready to go down to the pit is not left to find his own price, for the King's own Son hath borne the penalty of all iniquity. When Satan comes with fiery darts and when memories of old things assail you, your hope is not in your own strength to erase them, but in the blood of the Lamb slain for you. Christ is your deliverance, and His deliverance is certain because God Himself hath proclaimed it.

When such memories return, do not merely seek an empty mind, but seek a mind filled with Christ. The archers that shot at you when you would draw water from the wells of salvation must be answered with songs of deliverance. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly. Turn from that music which troubles the soul and give your heart to psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, to prayer and to the hearing of the Word, for these are the ordinary means by which the Lord works His deliverance and keeps His people in peace within their borders. He who brought Israel forth with silver and gold can bring you forth also, and attend your deliverance with enrichment of grace.
