We join you in bringing this heartfelt cry before our heavenly Father and we thank you for humbling yourself to ask for healing and deliverance in the name of Jesus Christ.

We know how heavy a wounded heart can feel and how anger and negative thoughts can take root and steal our peace. The Lord sees your heart and He is near to you in this struggle. We are reminded that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 and that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 He does not turn away from a contrite heart but draws near to restore and to make whole.

Scripture speaks clearly about anger and the thought life that can hold us captive. We are exhorted to let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32 We also remember the wisdom that every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20 Anger itself can become sin when we hold onto it, let it control us, or let it lead to bitterness, and we gently encourage you to release it quickly to the Lord, to forgive as you have been forgiven, and to not give the enemy a foothold through prolonged wrath.

Negativity is often a battle in the mind, and God has given us a way to fight it by renewing our minds in His truth. We are called to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2 and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 Instead of dwelling on what is discouraging or destructive, we are taught to think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8 This is not merely positive thinking, but fixing our minds on Christ and His promises.

We encourage you to continue to bring your heart daily before the Lord in honest confession, to linger in His Word, to pray even when the feelings of anger rise, and to invite the Holy Spirit to search your heart and replace what is not of Him with His peace and love. If there are specific wounds or people tied to this anger, bring them to Him and choose forgiveness by His strength, and seek fellowship with other believers who can help bear this burden and keep you accountable.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. We ask that You touch and heal this heart that is hurting. Pour out Your comfort and Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 Deliver from all anger, bitterness, and every negative stronghold. Wash away what is not of You and fill this heart with Your love, patience, gentleness, and self-control, the fruit of Your Spirit. Help to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger, and to walk in forgiveness and kindness each day. Renew the mind and let thoughts be captive to Christ, dwelling on what is true and pure and praiseworthy. Create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within, and let joy and hope be restored. We ask this according to Your will and for Your glory, in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We are grateful you shared this honest prayer with us. Wanting a healed heart and freedom from anger and negativity is a good and humble desire, and we are joining you in asking God for that work.

One thing we have found helpful to remember is that anger itself is often energy that points to something deeper, like a hurt from the past, a frustration in the present, or a fear about the future. Learning to notice what is underneath, rather than just reacting to the anger on top, can make it easier to choose a healthier response and not let the anger control your thoughts or actions.

It can help to decide ahead of time what you will do when those strong feelings rise. For some, it is pausing to pray briefly, naming honestly what you are feeling underneath, and then choosing one constructive next step, like stepping away for a few minutes, talking it through with a trusted pastor or mature believer, or bringing that underlying hurt to the Lord for His healing.

We care about you and we are standing with you as God continues His work in your heart.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask You to heal their heart and gently loosen the grip of anger and negativity. Give wisdom to see what is driving those feelings and grace to respond in ways that honor You and bring peace. Draw them close to Jesus and keep shaping them day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for a healed heart is heard by Him who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. There is no sickness of soul so deep that our great Physician cannot reach it, for the utmost length of human sickness can be reached by His hand, and even the least thing about Christ is healing. As it is written, the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and a word from Christ coming home to the heart brings healing to conscience and affection and desire.

You ask to be delivered from anger and all negativity, and this is indeed the work of grace within. Anger and bitterness are not merely outward habits but spring from the heart, and the heart must be made new. The promise of God is, A new heart also will I give you, and a right spirit will I put within you. O that the Holy Spirit may now create in you that new heart and take away the heart of stone. When He dwells within, the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing become one in Christ.

Look then to Jesus Himself and lie before Him in faith. He sees the secret groan and notes the inward desire, and His heart is quick to relieve. He shows no thunder toward the wounded spirit, but bows Himself over the mangled heart to heal it. Bring your anger to Him and confess it as sin, for He first forgives and then He heals, and He will teach you to overcome evil with good as you look to Him for all things.

Let us pray together for you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask You to heal this wounded heart and to create within a clean and tender heart that perceives Your presence and feels Your operations. Forgive all sin and let forgiveness bring healing. Put away all bitterness and wrath and anger, and fill this soul with Your peace and love. Let the healing leaves of Christ touch this life and make the nature other than it was before, to the praise of Your grace. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for a healed heart and deliverance from anger has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

God sees the burden you carry and He is the one who heals the broken heart. Scripture reminds us to take His yoke upon us and learn from Him, for He is meek and lowly in heart, and in Him we find rest for our souls. His yoke is easy and His burden is light, and He is able to deliver you from the weight of anger and every negativity that troubles you.

Anger itself does great harm to the soul. One who keeps anger against another, how can he seek healing from God while holding it. A moment of anger may pass quickly, but to hold onto it and remember injuries is to practice evil within the heart. When we hate others we punish ourselves, and when we love we benefit ourselves. To be free from anger is to be delivered also from the heaviness and sorrow that comes with it, and to enter into a profound calm, like one who has come into a harbor.

Therefore pray not only to be freed from anger, but to cultivate what replaces it. Hear the word of God carefully and keep it continually in mind, and ask Him to plant love within you, for love is patient and not easily provoked, and when love dwells inwardly it does not allow thorns of rashness and bitterness to spring up. If you have been delivered from this struggle, do not boast, for all have sinned and it is by the grace of God that we are changed. Be gently disposed to all, forgive as you have been forgiven, and be thankful to Him who grants deliverance.

We pray for you now.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this heart to You that asks for healing. Wash away anger and all negativity, and grant a new heart that is soft, peaceful and steadfast in You. Fill this soul with Your love and Your Spirit, so that meekness, patience and kindness may grow where anger once lived. Teach this dear one to hear Your word, to remember it, and to walk in fortitude and purity. Deliver from every chain of bitterness and grant rest and joy in Christ. We ask this in the saving name of Jesus Christ alone, our only hope and healer. Amen.

Continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in the Scriptures, even quietly in your heart throughout the day, for God hears the cry that is lifted in thought with a contrite heart. He is faithful to complete the healing He has begun.
