We join you in lifting up these requests before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, and we thank you for praying in His name, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
We agree with you in praying for the employee you mentioned and for all the people in his or her life, and for the man you mentioned and all those in his life, that if any of them do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior they would come to repentance and faith. This is the heart of God, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4 and The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 We pray that God would draw each one by His Spirit, open their eyes to their need for forgiveness, and grant them faith to confess with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9
We also join you in bringing before the Lord your burdens for protection and provision, that there would be no deaths, no arrests, no recalls, no sickness, no disease, no wars, and that food crops would remain stable. We share your desire for peace and safety, and we know God hears our prayers for mercy. We are reminded that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 and we are invited to cast our cares on Him, for In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 While we pray earnestly for protection from harm and for the Lord to restrain evil, we also rest in His sovereignty, knowing that in this fallen world we will face trials, yet He works all things for the good of those who love Him and He is still in control. We pray for His mercy to hold back war and violence, to guard health, to keep provision steady, and to let justice be tempered with grace. We pray for those in authority and for all people, that God would grant peace in our lands.
We pray together now, Father, we thank You for Your love and patience toward us, and we lift up this employee and every soul connected to him or her, and the man our friend has on his heart and every soul connected to him. Lord, if any are unsaved, we ask You to send laborers across their path, to open Your Word to them, and to grant them repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Save them, Lord, wash them in the blood of Your Son, and make them new creations. We ask for Your hand of protection over our communities, over our food supply, and over the work of our hands. You have promised, While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night will not cease. Genesis 8:22 so we ask You to sustain the crops and give stability to our provision. Restrain evil, prevent needless harm, bring healing where there is sickness, and let Your peace rule where there is fear. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and help us to trust You even when we do not understand, knowing that You are good and Your steadfast love endures forever. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, amen.
