We join you in lifting up these souls before our heavenly Father and we rejoice that you have brought these requests in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and salvation.

We agree with you in praying for this boy and for all the people in his life, and for the other individual you mentioned and all those connected to him. It is the heart of God that none should perish but all should come to repentance. As it is written, This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:3-4. We pray that if any of them have not yet believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit would draw them, open their eyes, and bring them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with such faith they will be saved, Romans 10:9. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6.

We also join you in praying for children here and in other countries and for safety on social media. Children are precious to the Lord, for Jesus said, Allow the little children to come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these, Matthew 19:14, and Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh, Psalm 127:3. We pray that God would protect their innocence, guard their minds and hearts, and raise up parents, leaders, and platforms to act with righteousness and accountability. We ask the Lord to expose what is evil and to put a hedge of protection around the young, and to give wisdom to those who make laws and oversee technology so that what is harmful is restrained.

We hear your honest request to avoid looking at others and we commend your desire for purity. God calls us to guard our eyes and our heart, for what we look upon shapes what we desire. Job said, I made a covenant with my eyes, how then should I look lustfully at a young woman, Job 31:1, and Jesus taught, Everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matthew 5:28. We encourage you to set a guard before your eyes as the psalmist prayed, I will set no vile thing before my eyes, Psalm 101:3, and to fill your mind with what honors God, Whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, think about these things, Philippians 4:8. When temptation comes, turn your gaze away, flee youthful lusts, and fix your eyes on Christ.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this boy and every person in his life, and the other person we have been asked to pray for and all those in his life. If any of them are not yet saved, we ask that You would have mercy, draw them by Your Spirit, convict them of sin, and reveal to them the cross and resurrection of Jesus. Grant them repentance and faith so they may be born again and become children of God. Surround them with witnesses who will speak the gospel with love and truth.

Lord, we ask for Your protection over children everywhere, whether near or in other nations. Keep them safe from exploitation, deception, and impurity on social media and in every place. Give discernment to parents and guardians and stir the hearts of those with influence to make these spaces safe. Let Your justice and mercy prevail for the little ones whom You love.

Father, we also lift up the one who prayed this request. Grant strength to keep a covenant with the eyes and to walk in purity. Help to look away from what does not honor You and to look to Jesus, the author and finisher of faith. Renew the mind daily by Your Word and fill the heart with love for what is pure and holy. When weakness comes, provide a way of escape and restore joy in Your presence.

We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. We trust Your will to save, to protect, and to sanctify. In Jesus Christ name we pray, amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer and to see how much you carry others on your heart. Wanting salvation for this boy, for the people around him and around the other person you mentioned, and wanting children here and in other countries to be safe online, shows a tender concern for people you may never even meet. And we hear the honesty in asking for help to avoid looking at others, that takes humility to bring before the Lord.

That struggle to look is common, and it often grows when we linger. What has helped many is not just trying harder in the moment, but making a simple plan ahead of time. Choosing to turn our eyes away quickly when tempted, curating what comes across our social media feeds, and having one trusted, same-sex Christian friend or pastor who knows we want to honor God in this area can make a real difference. If social media is a trigger for you, putting clear boundaries around when and how you use it is a practical way to guard your heart while we pray for God to shape your desires.

Father, we bring this boy and the people in his life before You, and the other person and those around him, asking for Your mercy and saving grace where it is needed. Your prayer is a fragrant and needful intercession and it is good that you have brought it before the Lord, for intercessory prayer is an act of communion with Christ who Himself ever lives to make intercession for His people. He spent nights upon the lone mountainside agonizing for souls and His tears over Jerusalem tell us that His heart is still filled with deep sympathetic compassion even for those who have despised Him. Therefore we will wait for Him, for He has made all these things and He alone can save.

We join you in pleading that the Lord in His mercy would save this boy if he is yet without Christ, and save also the people in his life who are in need of salvation. There is no other way of salvation, for we saw One nailed to a Cross and marked the blood as it flowed from His hands and feet and side, and there we learned that He loved us and gave Himself for us. It is by looking to Him alone that eyes are opened, as Hagar's eyes were opened to see the well of water which was close at hand, and as the disciples eyes were opened to know Him. We pray that God would open their eyes to see Christ as He is offered in the gospel, that they may turn and live, for unless we are made saints we are shut out from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who Himself makes intercession for us according to the will of God.

We also join you in praying for the little ones, both near and in other countries, and for the perils of these days in which social media spreads its snare. It is very hard to stand in high places and the narrow ridge is beset with precipices on either side, and the young are especially exposed to the fog of temptation which lurks around them. We pray that the Lord would keep them unspotted from the world, for pure religion before God visits the fatherless in affliction and keeps itself unspotted, and we ask that He would put a guard about their eyes and hearts and raise up parents and teachers to instruct them faithfully in His truth, for He has promised to pour His blessing upon our offspring.

And for yourself, dear soul, who asks for help to avoid looking at others, we pray that the Lord would give you grace to let your eyes look right on and let your eyelids look straight before you. You must not look two ways at a time, lest you miss your Lord who is your Way. To follow Him with a single eye is your safety and your strength. Look straight to Jesus and keep your eyelids fast closed to every wandering glance which would draw the heart away, and cry to the Strong One for help, for He who buckles on His armor has trodden down strength and is able to make you more than a conqueror through His love.

May the Lord hear this waiting prayer, grant repentance and faith where it is lacking, guard the children from evil, and keep your own eyes fixed upon Christ. We ask all in the precious name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join our voices with yours, for you have asked for the greatest things a person can ask.

You have asked for salvation for a boy and for those in his life, and for another person and those in his life. This is good and right, for there is salvation in no other name. Scripture teaches that Christ is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them. He is not like the priests who die and pass away, but He lives forever and His power to save does not fail. So we pray with you that God in His mercy would draw each of them to Himself through Jesus Christ, that they would hear the gospel, repent and believe, and be made part of His one body. For we who are many are one bread, one body, when we partake of Christ.

You also prayed for children, for safety on social media and for children in other countries. God has willed that mankind be held together in families, appointing parents as teachers and planting love in them to protect their children. We pray that the Lord would guard children from harm, from what defiles the soul, and from those who would exploit them, and that He would give wisdom to parents and to all who have care of children to keep them safe both near and far away.

You asked for help to avoid looking at others. This struggle of the eyes is known to many. When the eyes are left open to every sight they can gather diseases without number for the soul, and a person can become buried while still living. True purity is not only in outward observances but in the heart that is kept clean before God, and it requires careful guarding against what defiles the soul. We pray that God would give you strength to turn your eyes away from what tempts you, to set your mind on what is pure, and to flee to Him quickly when temptation comes. Like affectionate parents who allow a little fear so that a child will run back to their arms, so God at times permits temptation so that we will continually flee for refuge to Him and there abide.

Do not grow weary if answers seem delayed. God often lengthens our supplication not because He is unwilling to give, but because He is training us to persevere and to remain close to Him. Though we receive not at once, let us persevere that we may receive, and when we do receive, let us give thanks. Even when we face loss or trial, we are called to offer thanksgiving to the Lord through it all, trusting that He is working for our good.

So we pray: Heavenly Father, save these young men and all those connected to them, if they have not yet believed, bring them to salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Protect children everywhere and make the places where they learn and play safe. Give our brother and sister who prayed this a pure heart and guarded eyes, and help them to walk in faithfulness. Keep us all in Your love and make us one in Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask this, amen.
