We join you in lifting this man before our heavenly Father and we thank you for your compassionate intercession for him. It is a beautiful thing to stand in the gap for another, and we are encouraged that you brought this request in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved.
We do not know this man's heart or his standing before God, but the Lord knows him fully. Scripture tells us that God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:3-4, and that He is patient, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. We also hold fast to the promise that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9, and that there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life, John 3:16.
We also hear your prayer for his need for employment. Our Father knows our needs and is our provider. He has promised that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. We pray that the Lord would open a door for honest and dignifying work for this man, work that allows him to provide and to glorify God. We remember the word that whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23, and we ask that the Lord would give this man strength, diligence and favor as he seeks employment.

Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift this man to you. If he does not yet know you as Savior and Lord, we ask in your mercy that you would draw him to yourself, open his eyes to his need for forgiveness, and grant him repentance and faith to believe on your Son. Save him, Lord, wash him in the blood of Jesus, and make him a new creation. If he already belongs to you, deepen his faith and assure him of your love and presence. We also ask you to provide for his daily needs. Open the right job opportunity for him according to your perfect will, a place where he can work with integrity, provide for his needs, and be a light for you. Give him peace while he waits, guide his steps, and let him trust in you with all his heart. We ask that your will be done in his life and that you would be glorified through his salvation and his work. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.
