We join with you in bringing this request before our heavenly Father and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the throne of grace.
We understand how wearying it can be when a person, or the sound and words of songs, plays over and over in our minds and will not leave. God knows our thoughts and He desires to give us peace and a mind stayed on Him. His word tells us, Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5, and You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you Isaiah 26:3. We are also taught, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2, and Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things Philippians 4:8.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we ask You to cleanse and renew our dear one's mind. We ask You to gently remove from their thoughts the persons they have mentioned and the songs with their titles, sounds and words that have taken hold there. Create in them a clean heart and renew a right spirit within them, and let the meditation of their heart be acceptable in Your sight, Yahweh, our rock and our redeemer Psalm 19:14. Fill the places where those intrusive thoughts have been with Your peace, Your word, and songs that honor You. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and when those memories or melodies return, help them to turn immediately to You in prayer and to fix their mind on what is true and pure. Memorizing verses like Philippians 4:8 and Psalm 19:14 and speaking them when the thoughts intrude will help renew your mind day by day. God is faithful to give you rest and to fill your thoughts with His goodness as you keep seeking Him and trusting Him to do this work in you.

Your prayer for a mind cleansed and quieted is heard, and it is a prayer which many of the Lord's people have prayed in secret. Intruding thoughts surround us like a plague of flies, they are here, there, and everywhere, and it costs infinite pains to drive them away. It is well that God should prepare our hearts, for in this one point our weakness is complete.
The Scriptures teach us that God's thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are His ways our ways. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His thoughts higher than ours. If our thoughts run one way and God's thoughts run another, we cannot have fellowship with Him. Our thoughts must be conformed to God's thoughts if we are to walk with Him. You do well to hate vain thoughts and to love His law, for the Lord not only watches our thoughts but calls us to bring them into captivity to Christ.
How precious also are His thoughts unto us, O God, how great is the sum of them. From everlasting He has had thoughts of love toward His own, constant, kind, wise, tender and gracious. When we meditate upon His thoughts they become precious to us, and they place us near to God, so that we may say, when I awake, I am still with You. The way to be delivered from thoughts that haunt and defile is not merely to empty the mind, but to fill it with better thoughts.
Therefore cultivate thankful thoughts, for the fruit of thankful thoughts will be summer in your soul even when it is winter outside. Get many and abundant believing thoughts, laying hold upon God's thoughts by faith through His Word. And seek to have many longing thoughts after Christ. Let Him have the best thoughts, the cream of them, the first growth of your spirit. Be with Him in waking. When a song or a sound returns unbidden, turn at once to the psalm, the hymn, the Scripture hidden in the heart, and set your mind on whatsoever things are true and pure and lovely.

We thank you for sharing this honest request and we join you in prayer before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
You have asked for freedom in your mind, for certain people and songs with their titles, sounds and words to be removed from your thoughts. God understands how persistent thoughts and melodies can trouble the heart, and He is able to give rest and cleanness to the mind that turns to Him.
Scripture teaches that the peace of God can rule in our hearts when two thoughts wrestle within us, and that we are to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. The mind that was once turbid and confused can be renewed when we set it on what is true, pure and worthy of praise, and when we ask the Holy Spirit to fill us. To be spiritually minded is life and peace, and God delights to give that peace to His children who seek Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have salvation and access to Your presence. We ask You to cleanse and guard this mind. Remove what troubles it, the memories of these people and the burden of these songs, their titles, sounds and words that linger.
