We know that lust is not a small struggle but a sin that wars against the soul and must be fled and forsaken. Jesus taught us the seriousness of this when He said in Matthew 5:28, But I tell you, everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Scripture also warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18, Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. And again in 2 Timothy 2:22, Flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Lust promises pleasure but it brings bondage, and God calls us to purity, to honor Him with our bodies and minds, reserving sexual intimacy for the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman as He ordained from the beginning.
We also hear your desire to be delivered from the title and sounds and author of a song that seems to cling to your mind. We understand how music and memories can become a stronghold and replay in our thoughts and stir temptation. God wants to renew our minds and give us freedom from every unclean influence. We are told in 2 Corinthians 10:5 to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and in Philippians 4:8, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. Fill your heart and mouth with the Word of God and with psalms and hymns that glorify Christ, remove access to songs or images that trigger lust, and seek fellowship and accountability with mature believers who can pray with you and encourage you. If you fall, do not remain in shame but confess quickly, for 1 John 1:9 promises, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. God desires to create in you a clean heart as David prayed in Psalm 51:10, Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.

Your honest cry for deliverance has been heard, and it is a right and needful prayer to bring before the Lord. To feel the burden of lust and to long to be free from it, and to be wearied by a song that haunts the mind with its title and its sounds and the memory of its author, is to feel the very power of darkness from which Christ came to save.
Hear the word of the Lord for such a case, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it, but He has not only invented the way, He has found the ransom. It is the gift of Divine Love in His own Son, who has borne the penalty of all our iniquities. Your deliverance, therefore, does not rest upon your own resolve or strength, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. In order to our sanctification and our deliverance we must look to our heavenly Father, altogether and alone.
The Scripture says, He has delivered us from the power of darkness. Colossians 1:13. He has taught us the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof. And again we are taught pure religion is to keep ourselves unspotted from the world. James 1:27. The Christian never expects to get any good from the world, but is to be guarded by an invisible shield, so that wherever he goes he is protected from the evil influences that are in the world in almost every place. That haunting song is one of those spots and snares of the world, and the Lord who sees how it clings to the memory is able to cleanse the mind and give you a new song, even praise unto our God.
Therefore take up the prayer which our Lord Himself has taught us, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Matthew 6:13. We may pray, Lord, if it must be that I am tried this day, then deliver me from evil. Save me from the mischief of the temptation. Let it do me no hurt. He knows how to keep back your soul from the pit and your life from perishing, and though He may chasten sorely for your good, He will not give you over unto death, but will bring you to say, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

The struggle you name is one that many know. Scripture says there has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. God does not leave you alone in this fight. He provides the way out, and He uses even the pressure of temptation to draw you closer to Himself, so that you will flee for refuge to Him and remain near Him.
Lust seeks to enslave the heart through excess, and the way to stand against it is to cut away excess and to live in moderation, guarding the eyes and ears and thoughts. When a sound or a title or the memory of an artist clings to the mind, it is wise to remove the source completely, to turn away from what feeds the temptation, and to fill the mind with what is pure and holy. There is a sound that is sweeter and more helpful than any music of this world, the sound of prayer, of Scripture, and of holy things that lift the soul above earthly desires.
I pray with you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is our salvation and our justification, have mercy on this soul who seeks You. Forgive all sin and cleanse the heart. Deliver from all lust and from every impure desire. Break the hold of that song, its title, its sounds, and the memory of its author, and take away its power over the mind. Wash the thoughts and make them new. Grant strength to turn away from what tempts, to cut off what harms, and to walk in purity as You designed, where intimacy belongs only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman.
