We join you in lifting up this kid and this girl before our heavenly Father, and we thank you for your compassionate heart to intercede for them even when you may not know all the details of their need. God knows them fully and He hears our prayers.
We are reminded that the Lord deeply cares for children and for every soul in need of salvation. Jesus said, Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these Matthew 19:14. And we know that The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9. It is His desire that none should be lost, but that all would find life in His Son.
We also rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is power and access in that name alone. As Scripture says, in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. And For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16. Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved Romans 10:13.

It is a precious and Christlike thing to bring others before the throne of grace, and your prayer for these two young souls is not overlooked by our heavenly Father. Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for the prayer of Christ himself is of this character, and it is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought, and as to how many souls it has instrumentally saved, eternity itself shall reveal.
We join our supplication with yours and ask the Lord to have mercy upon this boy and this girl, wherever they are and whatever their need may be. If they are in bodily danger or distress, may the Lord in his providence send them help and deliverance. If they are as yet unsaved, and indeed we all have sinned and fall short and must be born again, may the Lord bring them to salvation according to his free grace.
Be assured that salvation is of the Lord alone, without money and without price, through faith in Jesus Christ. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on him shall not be ashamed. It is not by works or merit, but by looking unto Jesus. As the prophet cries, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. To believe on him is to trust in him, to rest your whole weight upon him who was laid in Zion for a foundation. That look does not require a moment, and yet it saves the soul completely and forever.
Therefore we pray that both the lad and the young woman may hear the plain gospel of salvation by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus, and be led to look unto him and live. Your prayer for a boy in need and for a girl in need of salvation is good and merciful, and it is right to bring them before the heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
We join our hearts with yours and pray with you. We ask God to look upon the boy with compassion, to keep him, to provide help for him in whatever need he has, and to guard him in soul and body. We ask also for the girl, that God would draw her to Himself and save her. The Scripture says that it is the heart's desire and prayer to God for others that they might be saved, and that now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. We pray that she would hear the gospel, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation comes, and be saved.
God delights in such prayers. Prayer mightily contributes to His mercy, and when it is offered with love and with others joining together, it has great effect. The Church has always been taught to pray not only for the faithful but also for those who have not yet come to faith, even as we teach children to pray and then invite them to pray themselves. The simplicity and lowliness of a child is precious before God, and He hears the prayers offered for children.
So we will continue to pray with you, and we encourage you to continue as well, morning and by night, for prayer is a great weapon and a source of security through each day. Commit these two young ones to God with confidence, trusting that He remembers and hears, and that He is able to deliver and to save.
