We join you in lifting up this dear man and all the people in his life before our heavenly Father and we thank you for your faithful heart to intercede for their salvation. It is a beautiful and godly desire that reflects the very heart of God, for He desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and He is patient, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9.
We rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to God and the gift of eternal life, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9, and we cling to the promise that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13.

If any of them have not yet believed on Your Son, we ask that You open their eyes to see their need for a Savior and open their hearts to receive the gospel. Draw them by Your Holy Spirit, convict them of sin and lead them to repentance and faith in Jesus who died for our sins and rose again. Grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance and grant them new life in Christ. Where there is already faith, strengthen and establish them and use this dear man as a light to those around him. We ask that You place laborers across their paths to share the good news and give them boldness to speak Your truth in love. It is a good and holy thing that your heart has been enlarged to pray for another soul, for this is a mark of grace itself. When you cease to be anxious only for your own salvation and are moved to care for a brother's soul, you have risen into a broader region of communion with Christ, who Himself ever lives to make intercession for His people and who pleads for transgressors.
We will join you in this prayer, and we pray that you will persevere in it. Intercessory prayer is of unspeakable value to those for whom it is offered, and it is a part of the priestly office of Christ in which He allows His people to have fellowship with Him. Do not cease to wait upon the Lord in this matter.

Your prayer for the salvation of this man and for the people in his life is good and pleasing to God, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth through Jesus Christ alone.
It is right to bring others before the Lord in this way. Scripture calls us to bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ, and part of that burden is to care not only for our own salvation but for the salvation of others. We are not to be satisfied with looking only to ourselves, but to stand with one another and lift up those who are in need.
We have confidence in bringing this request to God because Jesus Christ ever lives to make intercession for those who come to God through Him. He is able to save to the uttermost, and the salvation He gives is not a temporary help but salvation in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. No one is beyond His reach, and no sin or distance is greater than His power to save when a person turns to Him in faith.
Let us pray together for him and for those around him.
