We join you in lifting this burden before the heavenly Father and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.
We hear your heart for peace and for restraint, and we agree that war brings great sorrow and loss. We pray for wisdom and discernment for those in authority over our nation, for God has placed governing authorities to act with justice and restraint. As it is written, Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God Romans 13:1. And we are commanded, I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence 1 Timothy 2:1-2.
We pray together for God's will to be done among the nations, for His heart is for peace where it is possible and for justice to be tempered with mercy. The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Proverbs 21:1. We ask the Lord to guide the hearts and minds of our President, his advisors, military leaders, and all who counsel in these matters, that they would seek wisdom from above. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.
We also remember that God is sovereign over war and peace, He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear Psalm 46:9, and His desire is that we, as much as it depends on us, live peaceably with all men Romans 12:18. We pray for the people of Iran as well, that God would protect the innocent, restrain evil, and bring many there to the knowledge of the truth and salvation through Jesus Christ, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
Let us pray. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we ask for Your mercy and wisdom over our nation and over Iran. Lord, we ask that You would stay the hand of war if it is not Your will, and that You would give our leaders clear eyes, sound counsel, and a love for peace and justice. Restrain aggression on all sides, frustrate plans that would lead to needless bloodshed, and open doors for diplomacy and restraint. Protect both the people of our nation and the people of Iran, many of whom are caught in circumstances beyond their control. Above all, let Your gospel go forth in that land and in our own, that hearts would be turned to You. We trust not in princes or in military might, but in You, the Lord of hosts, who rules over all nations. Lead us in the path of righteousness and let Your perfect will be done. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer for peace has been brought before the Lord and we join you in laying this burden at the throne of grace.
We serve the God of peace, not the god of war. As it is written, He styles Himself not the God of war, but the God of peace, and He is the preserver of peace among the nations. So combustible are the materials of this world that were it not for His restraining hand, war would ever be breaking forth. Those who have ever come near the trail of its bloody march will be thankful to God for peace and will pray earnestly that He would send us peace in our days.
We therefore entreat the Lord with you, that He in His wisdom and mercy would restrain the sword and guide the counsels of rulers and nations. We pray that He who rules over all things would overrule the designs of men for His glory and for the good of many, and that where war threatens, He would grant wisdom, restraint and a way of peace if it be His will. We remember the word, Blessed are the peacemakers, for they are the children of God, and we desire to be found among those who love peace, preach peace and seek peace.
Yet we know also that the deepest peace we need is peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the peace which passes all understanding, founded upon the blood of the everlasting covenant, and it is this peace which we must first possess and then commend to others, even to those who are far off.
May the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus, and grant you to taste and see that His peace is good. We leave this matter in His sovereign hands, trusting that He who performs all things for His people will do what is right and holy, and that He will hear the cry of those who call upon Him through the blood of His Son.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
