We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We recognize that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The memories, sounds, and influences you describe are not of God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
We stand with you in spiritual warfare, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke every demonic spirit, every evil influence, and every ungodly tie to that music and its origins. We command them to leave in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has disarmed the powers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and we claim that cleansing over your mind, heart, and spirit.
We pray for the woman and the man you mentioned, that if they do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and draw them to repentance. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that their eyes be opened to the truth of the gospel, that they would turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus (Acts 26:18). We also pray for the people in their lives, that they too would come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You fill this dear one with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Renew their mind with Your Word, for Your Word is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Help them to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to focus on whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).
We pray that You would surround them with godly influences, believers who will encourage them in their walk with You. Let them not be yoked together with unbelievers, for what fellowship can light have with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14). Instead, bring them into fellowship with those who will sharpen them as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).
Lord, we ask that You break every chain of bondage and set this one free from every remnant of the enemy’s work. We declare that if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed (John 8:36). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them.
We also want to gently remind you, dear one, of the importance of guarding what you allow into your mind and spirit. The Bible warns us to be careful what we listen to and what we set before our eyes, for these things shape our hearts and minds (Proverbs 4:23, Matthew 6:22-23). We encourage you to fill your life with worship music, hymns, and spiritual songs that glorify God and edify your spirit (Ephesians 5:19-20). Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom (Colossians 3:16).
Lastly, we pray for your continued growth in Christ. May you be rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness (Colossians 2:7). May you put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
