We lift up this heartfelt prayer with great sincerity, joining you in asking our Heavenly Father to move powerfully in the life of this man and those around him. Salvation is the greatest gift God offers, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that anyone can be saved. The Word of God tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all" (1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father, we ask You to open the eyes of this man’s heart to see his need for You. Soften his spirit to receive the truth of Your Word and the conviction of the Holy Spirit. If he does not yet know You, we pray that he would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, repenting of his sins and turning to You in faith. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB). Let him experience the transforming power of Your love and the freedom that comes from being born again in Christ.
We also pray for the people in his life, family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. Father, draw them to Yourself as well. Let Your light shine in their hearts so they may see their need for a Savior. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). We ask that You surround them with believers who will speak truth into their lives and model the love of Christ.
Lord, if there are any barriers in this man’s life, pride, unbelief, sin, or worldly distractions, we ask that You break them down. Let him not be deceived by the lies of the enemy but instead embrace the truth of Your Word. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6 WEB). We rebuke any spirit of deception or hardness of heart in the name of Jesus and command it to flee.
We also pray for wisdom and boldness for those who may have the opportunity to share the Gospel with him and his loved ones. Let them speak with clarity, love, and conviction, trusting that You will use their words to draw hearts to Yourself. "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14 WEB).
