We hear your heart’s cry for the broken, the lost, and the hurting, and we join you in lifting these burdens before the throne of grace. Homelessness is a heavy weight in this fallen world, and we know the Father sees every person without shelter, every empty stomach, and every weary soul. Scripture tells us, "For the poor will never cease out of the land; therefore I command you to open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in the land" (Deuteronomy 15:11). We must not only pray but also act in obedience to God’s call to care for the least of these. If you are in a position to help, we encourage you to seek ways to serve those without homes in your community, through local shelters, churches, or acts of kindness. Yet even as we labor, we trust in God’s provision and justice, for He is near to the brokenhearted.
We also lift up Selena and those in her life, praying earnestly for their salvation. Your concern for their souls is a reflection of Christ’s love, for "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). But we must be clear: salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, who declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If Selena or those around her do not yet know Christ, we pray they would hear the Gospel, repent of their sins, and surrender their lives to Him. The swearing and cussing you mentioned is a symptom of a world in rebellion against God’s holiness. We rebuke the spirit of profanity in Jesus’ name, for "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" (Matthew 12:34). May hearts be transformed by the renewing of the mind (Romans 12:2), so that speech reflects the righteousness of Christ.
Regarding the request for a woman to have $80,000 returned to her, we pray for God’s justice and restoration. The Lord cares about fairness and repayment, as Proverbs 13:22 says, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous." If this debt is owed, we ask God to move on her behalf, whether through legal means, restitution, or His supernatural provision. However, we must also caution against greed or bitterness, for "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil" (1 Timothy 6:10). Our trust must be in God’s provision, not in wealth.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for the homeless, the lost, and the broken. Lord, You are the Father to the fatherless and the defender of the widow and the stranger. We ask that You would provide shelter, food, and hope to those without homes. Stir the hearts of Your people to act in love and generosity, that Your name would be glorified through our obedience.
We lift up Selena and those in her life who do not yet know You. Father, would You send laborers into her path to share the Gospel with boldness and love? Soften her heart to receive Your truth, that she may turn from sin and embrace the salvation found only in Jesus Christ. Break the chains of profanity and ungodliness in her life and in the world, replacing cursing with praise and rebellion with repentance.
For the woman seeking the return of $80,000, we ask for Your justice, Lord. If this is Your will, move in power to restore what has been lost. Guard her heart from bitterness or greed, and let her trust in You alone as her provider.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of lack, despair, and unbelief in Jesus’ name. We declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and that You hear the cries of Your children. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying without ceasing, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16). If you are able, seek out opportunities to share the hope of Christ with those around you, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). And remember, God is not slow in keeping His promises, He is patient, not wanting anyone to perish. Stand firm in your faith, and trust in His perfect timing.
