We lift up the nation of Oman before You, Lord God Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth. Your Word declares in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." We stand in the gap for the people of Oman, asking for Your divine protection from all harm, including the threat of bombs and violence. Shield them with Your mighty hand, Lord, and let Your peace reign in their land. We pray that Your angels would encamp around them, as it is written in Psalm 34:7, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."
Father, we also bring before You the leaders of Oman, particularly the president. We ask that You would draw near to him and reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Your Word says in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth." Lord, if he does not know You, we pray that You would open his heart to the truth of the Gospel. Let him see his need for a Savior and turn to Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that he would come to know You as his Lord and Redeemer, and that his life would be transformed by Your love and grace.
We also intercede for the people in his life, his family, advisors, and those who influence him. Father, we ask that You would surround him with godly counsel and that those who do not know You would come to salvation. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 13:20, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." We pray that those around him would be men and women of wisdom, rooted in Your truth, and that their lives would reflect Your love and righteousness.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, violence, or destruction that seeks to harm the people of Oman. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise and declare Your protection over the land.
Father, we also pray for the church in Oman, that You would strengthen and embolden Your people to be a light in the darkness. Let them shine brightly with the love of Christ, drawing others to You. We ask that You would raise up laborers for the harvest, as Jesus commanded in Matthew 9:38, "Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest."
We commit this prayer to You, Lord, trusting in Your mercy and grace. May Your will be done in Oman, and may Your name be glorified among its people. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
