We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request to our Heavenly Father, who holds all creation in His hands. We acknowledge that the earth and everything in it belongs to the Lord, and He alone has the power to calm the storms, still the winds, and protect His people from natural disasters. We pray for the island in Indonesia, asking that You would indeed shield it from earthquakes and any other calamities. Your Word tells us in Psalm 46:1-3, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling." We stand on this promise, trusting in Your sovereignty and care.
We also lift up the twenty souls who have passed away, praying that in their final moments, they may have encountered the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We know that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that if they did not know You, Lord, that they would have heard the gospel and accepted Your gift of eternal life. For those who remain, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, that they may come to know the hope and peace that only You can provide.
For the people in the Northeast and Midwest, we pray for Your protection from winds, storms, and floods. We ask that You would cover these regions with Your peace and safety, reminding us that You are our shelter in the time of storm (Isaiah 25:4). We trust in Your promise in Psalm 107:29, "He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still."
We also lift up the individuals mentioned by name, asking that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. We pray that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would soften their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word and that they would be surrounded by believers who can share the gospel with them.
For the one who has submitted this request, we pray for deliverance from all demonic influences, memories, and spirits. We rebuke every evil spirit in the name of Jesus Christ, for "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose, that he might destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). We declare that you are set free by the blood of Jesus, and we pray that you would walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for you. We encourage you to fill your mind with the truth of God’s Word, for "whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8). We pray that you would look forward to the future God has for you, remembering the important things He has taught you, and leaving the past behind.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You would move in power across the nations, protecting Your people and drawing all men to Yourself. We pray for salvation, deliverance, and peace, trusting in Your perfect will. Strengthen us to walk in Your ways and to share the hope of the gospel with those who do not yet know You. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and King. Amen.
