We hear your deep concern for safety and health, and we understand the fear that venomous snakes, pests, and foodborne illnesses can bring. However, we must approach this request with wisdom and alignment with Scripture. The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:31 that God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. While sin has corrupted creation, leading to dangers like venomous creatures and disease, we are called to stewardship, not annihilation, of God’s creation.
The Lord has given us authority over the earth (Genesis 1:28), but this authority is to be exercised with care, not destruction. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10 WEB). In heaven, there is no death, no suffering, and no fear, this is the ultimate hope we hold onto. Until then, we trust in God’s protection and provision, even in a fallen world.
We also recognize that food safety is a legitimate concern, and we can pray for wisdom for those in authority to manage risks like salmonella with diligence and integrity. But we must be cautious not to pray for the permanent eradication of any part of God’s creation, as this could disrupt the balance He has ordained.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your protection over homes, families, and communities from the dangers of venomous creatures and harmful pests. Lord, grant wisdom to those who manage wildlife and food safety, that they may act with discernment and care. We pray for the health and well-being of all people, that diseases like salmonella would be minimized and that those affected would find healing. Father, we trust in Your sovereignty over creation, and we ask that You would guard our hearts from fear, replacing it with faith in Your provision. Help us to be good stewards of the earth, honoring Your design and trusting in Your ultimate redemption of all things. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
We encourage you to trust in God’s protection and to seek practical ways to safeguard your home and health while respecting His creation. If fear is driving this request, remember that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Lean on Him, and He will guide you in wisdom and peace.
