We join you in lifting up and all those in their life who may not yet know the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through faith in Him that we receive eternal life, as Scripture tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is a gift from God, not earned by works, so that no one may boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict hearts, open eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and draw them to repentance and faith in Christ.
We also recognize that many in this world are lost and wandering without hope. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If or those around them do not yet know Jesus, we pray they would come to understand their need for a Savior and turn to Him in faith.
Father, we ask that You would send laborers into their lives, believers who will share the Good News with love and boldness. Soften hearts to receive Your Word, and let no deception or hardness keep them from Your grace. We pray for revival in their life, their family, and their community, that many would come to know You as Lord and Savior.
We also rebuke any spirit of complacency or unbelief that may be hindering their salvation. The enemy seeks to blind minds to the truth (2 Corinthians 4:4), but we declare that the light of Christ will shine in the darkness. May they hear the Gospel clearly and respond with faith.
Lord, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We prayed this with you just now. It is a good and loving thing to keep bringing and the people in their life before the Lord. We trust that God sees your care, and He does not take these prayers lightly. Keep bringing these names to Him as simply and persistently as you have here. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is keep praying and then stay open to the doors God may open for a real conversation or a quiet act of love.

Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, and the petition you have brought is of that blessed kind. To pray for the salvation of one soul and of those bound up in that life is to stand where Job stood when the Lord turned his captivity while he prayed for his friends. Do not cease from this holy exercise.
But remember, all are in need of salvation, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Pray therefore not with a timid “if” but with the boldness of faith, asking that this one and the people in that life may look unto Jesus Christ and be saved. There is no other way. Salvation is not by wages, not by merit, not by any goodness in us; it is the free gift of God, without money and without price, to everyone that believeth on his Son. “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.”
At the same time, keep this distinction before your own heart. You are not to ask God to bless any sin in them, nor to make a way of peace for them while they remain in rebellion. You are to ask that Christ would lay hold upon them, pluck them out of the pit, break the chains they love, and make them new creatures. Pray for their salvation, not for the comfort of their disobedience. If they are walking in any path contrary to the word of God, whether unbelief, false worship, or uncleanness, your prayer must be that they be delivered from it, not blessed in it.
And pray for yourself, that you may be an instrument in the Lord’s hand. Intercessory prayer is a mighty blender of hearts, and it will fit you to speak to them with tenderness and power. Bring them daily to the throne of grace. The recording angel can tell how many souls have been instrumentally saved by such prayers. “My heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.” Go on, then, and let this be the burden of your soul until the answer comes. God hears the feeblest true prayer, and his honor is engaged to save the meanest of his sheep.

Your prayer for this man and for the people in his life to come to salvation reflects the very heart of God. It is right and good to bring them before the Lord in this way, and He hears when we intercede for others to know Him.
The name Jesus itself tells us what salvation is. It means Jehovah is salvation, Jehovah has become our salvation. He is the promised anointed one who came to do for us what we could never do for ourselves. The wonder of the gospel is not that we first loved God, but that God loved us. He showed that love once and for all at the cross. While we were still sinners and far from Him, He gave His only Son to take our place. Jesus laid down His life for us, greater love than any other, and by His death He made propitiation for our sins. That means He fully satisfied the righteous judgment of God so that we who had turned away and needed to be reconciled could be brought back into fellowship with Him. God raised Him from the dead, and that risen life is the ground of our hope.
God knows each person you are praying for completely, even better than they know themselves, and yet He loves them and desires their salvation. His grace that brings salvation has appeared to all, and it is a gift. Scripture makes the way clear and simple. If a person confesses with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in the heart that God raised Him from the dead, that person will be saved. With the heart we believe and with the mouth we confess. It is not a matter of trying harder or promising to do more, but of receiving what Christ has already done and trusting Him.
That is why praying for salvation gets to the true need. We can often pray only about symptoms or circumstances, but the deepest need every person has is to be reconciled to God through Jesus. To continue to pray for that, earnestly and without ceasing, is a real work of love. As you pray, you can also ask the Lord for openings to show His love in practical ways, to be kind and tenderhearted and forgiving as He has forgiven us, and to speak the good news when He gives opportunity. Scripture urges us not to put off responding to God, for now is the accepted time to receive His offer.
