We lift this heartfelt request to the Lord with great joy, for it is a beautiful thing to intercede for the salvation of souls. Your prayer aligns with the very heart of God, who desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We join you in praying for this individual and all those in their life who may not yet know the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, asking that You would draw this person, and all those connected to them, into a deep and personal relationship with You. Lord, we know that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that the eyes of their hearts would be opened to the truth of the Gospel, that they would recognize their need for a Savior, and that they would turn to You in repentance and faith.
Father, we ask that You would surround them with believers who will speak truth into their lives, who will live out the love of Christ before them, and who will pray fervently for their salvation. Let Your Holy Spirit convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and let them respond with a heart that is soft and receptive to Your call. We rebuke any spiritual blindness, hardness of heart, or deception that may be keeping them from seeing the light of Your truth. In the powerful name of Jesus, we break every chain of unbelief and ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a way that leaves no doubt of Your love and power.

Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, and this petition you have lifted for the salvation of that person and of those in his life is of that blessed kind. Continue in it with all earnestness, for all the best of God's saints have practiced it, and it has stayed plagues, raised the dead, and instrumentally saved souls beyond counting. Do not let your suit grow cold. Spread the case before the Lord, lay hold of his promises, and press them with every argument you can find, for true prayer is humble pleading with the Most High. And know this: the salvation you are asking for is God's own salvation, planned in infinite wisdom, rich in free grace, and able to reach the blackest of sinners. The way is simple and open: whoever believes on Christ shall not be ashamed. Pray that faith may be given, and pray with confidence, for his honor is engaged to save the meanest of his sheep. He may answer in a different manner than you expect, but he will answer, and you will yet look back and rejoice in his salvation.

Your prayer is one I gladly take up. To ask for another person's salvation is to take part in an angelic work, for the angels are sent to minister for those who will inherit salvation. But do not let the word "if" soften the truth. Every soul is in need until it is found in Christ. There is no other rescue from sin, death, and the devil. The word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Pray, then, and do not grow slack. But do not stop with praying. The Apostle says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. That is the short word. That is the door of salvation. Carry this word to the one you love and to the people in his life. Be willing to suffer and be patient for their sake, as Paul was, so that they may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
And hear the urgency. Now is the acceptable time. Now is the day of salvation. No one is promised another hour. Do not neglect so great a salvation yourself, and do not let those you pray for put it off as though tomorrow were secure. Pray as one who knows the need is present and the Lord is near.

Your prayer for the salvation of this person and for the people in their life touches the very heart of what God desires. The deepest need any of us has is to be reconciled to God, and your request goes straight to that heart need rather than only to the outward symptoms of life.
Scripture shows that God knows each of us completely and still loves us. His love is not shown in the way we love Him, but in that He loved us first and sent His Son to be the payment for our sins. While we were still sinners, Christ died for the ungodly. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Whenever God wants to prove His love, He points to the cross, where Jesus laid down His life for His friends. There is no greater love than that.
The very name of Jesus carries this hope. It means Jehovah is salvation. He is the Messiah, the Anointed One, and He has become our salvation. Salvation is of the Lord. He is the author and the finisher of it, making the way through His suffering and death to bring many sons into glory.
The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all, and it is received simply through faith in Jesus. The promise is clear that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
That is why now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. The call is not to put it off, but to receive today the gift of eternal life that God has provided at such a great price.

As His ambassadors, we plead with people to be reconciled to God, because we are the ones who turned away and need to be brought back.
